• The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) N285.0 codes specifies requirements for manufacturing of CANDU Nuclear Power Plants pressure-retaining systems and components in Canada.

Summary

• Equipment design / supply comprises about 50% of the total CANDU project costs split between NSP & BOP

• Much of the BOP equipment for CANDU units is similar to that of coal burning generating plants

• Nuclear equipment is often unique and specialized but business potential could be high

• Next presentation will outline the process to become a “Qualified CANDU Supplier”
