  • 21 Village Green Court South Orange, NJ 07079 March 1, 2015 Dear Sir or Madam: I am writing to inquire about the full-time position at your company. After perusing the required credentials of applicants, I am confident that my experience and skills will bring a positive, fresh impact to your company. As a senior, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in public relations. My expected graduation date is May 2015. Through multiple internships, I am experienced in media relations, analytic software, sales and social media marketing. Your company can also benefit from my knowledge and skills of AP Style, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Prezi. I am familiar with Photoshop, iMovie, InDesign and am teaching myself Illustrator. I have learned to diversify my PR skillset thanks to my experiences allowing me to work in healthcare, non-profits, film and publishing. As you are looking for candidates to strategize marketing opportunities and create social media content, I have extensive experience in targeting publics and advertising online. Using InDesign and Photoshop to manipulate content, I am experienced in the production of newsletters, fact sheets, brochures, and other marketing and communication documents. My writing experience includes press releases, articles, social media copy and more. For samples, visit my e-portfolio at http://jeweladdy.wordpress.com/. This being my final semester, I am interning with Whitman-Walker Health in Washington, D.C. It is an organization with a long history of answering the health calls of the LGBT community. Here, I assist a two-person communication team and am exposed to all sectors of directing non-profit, health communications. Before this, I interned in the Journals Sales department at Cambridge University Press. My main projects consisted of conducting research and building a customer database. The companys new Accounts Development team used the database as a resource in both the sales and marketing departments. Additionally, I previously interned at a full-service agency called Allied Integrated Marketing. While there, I promoted multiple films for the D.C. market through organizing promotional events, assisting in media relations and strategizing outreach tactics. I am a dedicated, professional, energetic individual who enjoys teamwork and meets deadlines. These skills make me a qualified candidate. Through keeping jobs in college, I have taught myself time management as well as challenged my communications skillset. I am adaptable and hold leadership skills. I served on the executive board of a UMD non-profit organization, A Womans Worth, for two years as secretary and president. Thank you for your time and consideration, and have a wonderful day.
