WELHAB Habitats
Accommodating Excellence
• WELHAB is a multi functional system designed to encapsulate hot works by providing
a ‘positively pressurised safety enclosure’. Using overpressure the habitat prevents the
potential ingress of toxic or explosive hydrocarbons and containing the sparks/welding
fumes our units enable work and production to continue in a safe working
environment.
• The system is designed to accommodate all
types of hot work in Hazardous Areas (ATEX
Zones 1 & 2) all components are ATEX
certified. The overall habitat is DNV 2.7-2
Certified and NORSOK approved.
• Fast simple installation by teams of competent
Habitat Technicians.
WELHAB Habitats
Accommodating Excellence
• WELHAB habitats have been provided since the late 1980s and continues to evolve to
be more robust and adaptable whilst always providing the standard of safety expected.
The construction is designed to encapsulate any shape or size of area, incorporating
all fixtures, piping and obstacles.
• WELHAB provides a safe working location within Hazardous areas, creating a secure,
well lit and isolated working environment which mitigates the risks associated with hot-
works.
• WELHAB can reduce the size and costs of maintenance crews, avoiding
shutdown/turnaround and loss of production (non-delivery penalties) and takes
pressure off crews (less man hours).
WELHAB Habitats
Accommodating Excellence
WELHAB habitats are
available in two
systems. A flexible
pressurised system
comprising fire
retardant soft panelling
or a solid composite
fire rated panelling
system both enabling
hot works to be carried
out in a controlled
manner.
