Challenge Solution Benefits?Firm was adding and
updating thousands of client entries manually to Advent APX.
Needed a secure interface between any systems and Advent APX.
Without centralized automated processing, data maintenance and data quality between Salesforce and Advent APX was a pain.
All Incoming and outgoing data about clients, accounts, and positions was synchronized, with the help of Informatica Cloud Sync service
An interface was created in Salesforce which does automated export of client and account data and import of account, position, and security data from Advent APX.
SFTP server was also setup for secure data exchange

Lessons Learned & Considerations

• Do make sure there is an integration super-user assigned within the organization that will be involved in the project and can take the reins once the project is completed.
• Do take the time to think about the best place for data to originate and what is critical data to synchronize across applications.
• Do involve all stakeholders in the organization that have data needs across all the applications that will share/synchronize data.
• Don't try to fully replicate data from all systems across the organization - try to think critically about what data needs to be used in multiple places and is most meaningful for the users on each application.
