Rod Jackson, Chairman & CEO
Rod joined aap3 in January 2008 as CEO after serving as non-executive Chairman of the
Board since 2005.
Prior to his appointment at aap3, Rod was Vice President of Global Client Services at Cisco.
Before joining Cisco, Rod was 17 years with Intel Corporation, his last role being Worldwide
Operations Director for Intel Online Services. Rod has also been an industry technology
board advisor to Intel, HP, Cable & Wireless, and BT and has been a keynote speaker at
many leading IT and telecoms events globally.
Rod is qualified in business administration, finance & banking, and has been a member of
the Institute of Directors since 1993. Rod is also currently the Chairman of Business South,
where he works closely with the management team and board of directors to help promote
the Solent region.
Rod lives in Swindon and is based at the aap3 head office at Chilworth.

Cisco case study
aap3 works directly and through a partnership with IBM as a service provider to Cisco to deliver tiered technical support, along with
Project Management and Telepresence installations.
aap3 are integral to the internal operation, maintenance and pro-active management of a large part of Cisco’s IT estate, and ensure optimum performance for the client.
Cisco’s challenge was managing the vast entirety of their internal IT estate. They needed a Managed Service Provider with the ability and flexibility to provide a diverse range of services in line with their long term strategic objectives.
At present, aap3 supports 20,000 users across 63 countries in EMEA providing the following services:
• Tier 1, 2 and 3 Service Desk support
• Server support and maintenance
• Network infrastructure support
• Fully immersive Telepresence installation support
• Field engineering support
• Technical project managers
aap3 were also instrumental in the set up and on-going management of Cisco’s DEC (Device Exchange Centre).
The relationship has been ongoing for 12 years with aap3 consistently delivering a KPI score of 4.8 / 5 or higher and committing to Continual Service Improvement (CSI); ensuring that Cisco is utilising the latest technology to improve efficiencies and increase productivity.

NWN case study
• NWN originally started working with aap3 because they had more projects than their internal engineering staff
could handle.
• NWN were getting into skill sets and geographies where they did not have the resources to handle the work, that
is when they first engaged with aap3 due to our flexible bench and global hub of contractors.
• More recently NWN has changed their business model and realigned their internal bench of engineers so that
they could engage with aap3 on longer term opportunities and projects.
• Our Flexible Resourcing solution to NWN is to provide experienced IT Engineers to NWN to work on their projects
where they don’t have the skills, capabilities or people in those geographies.
• We do this on project based engagements and longer term staff augmentation solutions.
• Currently we have 12 full time resources working out on site with NWN on a total of seven different projects.
• The feedback we have had from the client has been extremely positive and it is likely we will be undertaking a
number of additional flexible resourcing projects for NWN this year.

aap3 has been providing strategic managed services to HSBC across EMEA for the past four years
• Projects have included delivering a number of data centre migration projects as well as Wintel
upgrades for HSBC’s employees based in Canary Wharf and their head office in Sheffield

• Polycom are the industry leader in unified communication and collaboration solutions, with a strong
portfolio of telepresence, video, and voice solutions and services. They needed to rapidly align their
Project Management resources and expand their PMO (Project Management Office), in order to achieve
continuous business improvement and to meet the requirements of their growing client base.
• aap3 have an established PMO so were quick to deploy experienced, accredited project managers and
project administrators who were able to have an immediate business impact, maintaining a high level
of customer service and ultimately ensuring continued business enablement.

Office Depot case study
aap3 have been supplying a range of specialist IT services to Office Depot for the last five years including:

We have recently migrated 5400 users to Office 365 – the project was extremely successful and was delivered on time and under
budget. Within Office Depot, aap3 are managing everything from Break/Fix to IMAC and/or re-image, we have a team on site that are
able to manage and work towards agreed SLAs.
aap3 manages events from the moment an incident is logged through to resolution. We are currently utilising IBM Smart Cloud Control
Desk and FreshDesk to manage all aspects of the service delivered to Office Depot.
aap3’s team of engineers work on site and are fully supported and managed by the Service Delivery Manager based at our head office
in Chilworth.
