On November 5th, we celebrated our 11th anniversary! We are very grateful to New Vision Baptist Church for providing
us with a wonderful space for our adult day services program. Our staff and board have fulfilled all the
requirements for Adult Day Services Licensure in the State of Tennessee. Many thanks to all of our supporters, board members, staff members (Audrey Bolek, Keneshia Sweet and Tina O’Brien), participants, and families. Mindful Care invites you to visit the program – These photos show the loving kindness that wraps around our participants and
helps them continue to live a fulfilling life.
Remembering Mother Goose (1935 – 2019)
“We thought of you in love today, but that is nothing new. We thought about you yesterday and days before
that, too. We think of you in silence, we often speak your name. Now all we have is memories and your
picture in frame. Your memory is our keepsake, with which we’ll never part. God has you in his keeping; we
have you in our hearts.”
“Mother Goose” was a participant in Mindful Care since October 2017. She was an incredible woman who spread lots of love and smiles. We will forever
love and remember her.
Happy 89th Birthday Clemmie Lewis!

Special Thanks
Tina Tina O’Brien, thank you for being so passionate and caring about the well-
being of so many to start such a needed and appreciated program. You have been a great teacher, mentor, leader and boss – all rolled into one.
You have guided us along the way, and you have treated us like true friends. You have instilled into the program such values as determination,
tolerance, equity, kindness, honesty, patience, and professionalism. As you enter retirement, we pray that God will continue to grant you sound health, mercy and many blessings. While you bid farewell to us, please know that your legacy will remain in our hearts. On behalf of the board
and staff, we wish you good luck and success in your new life. Stay blessed!

A Message from the Board President, Tom Tozer
“Albert Schweitzer, medical missionary and theologian, once said, “The purpose of human life is to serve and to show compassion and the will
to help others.” We think Schweitzer would have appreciated the name of our service program, “Mindful Care.” To our donors, it is your moral and financial support
that allows us to provide Mindful Care to our participants through love and compassion. Thank you to all of you who show your own mindful care through your financial gifts. Please visit mindful-
care.org and find out how many ways you can donate. We appreciate you and are grateful to
you.”
