Catering for cocktail parties and a la carte wedding receptions for as few as fifty guests through to wedding celebrations for a maximum capacity of two hundred guests.

Outdoor ceremonies are popular with the abundance of beautiful beaches & parklands in the
local area. In the case of wet weather Soldiers Point Bowling Club provides you with the option to conduct your wedding ceremony in your reception room at no extra charge.
Please note: Wedding Receptions with fewer than 60 adult guests attending will incur an additional charge per head.
SEASCAPES Freshly renovated & located just off the
reception area, the Seascapes room can cater for 80 guests for a sit down dinner
on round tables or 100 cocktail style. A minimum of 50 guests is required for
the use of this room. The Seascapes room features a private
entrance, full bar facilities, dance floor & is equipped with modern AV facilities.
AUDITORIUM The Auditorium can cater for 120 guests
for a sit down dinner on round tables or 200 cocktail style.
A minimum of 80 guests is required for the use of this room.
The Auditorium features full bar facilities, large dance floor & stage as
well as being equipped with modern AV facilities.

Soldiers Point Bowling Club Soldiers Point Bowling Club is a cost effective coastal wedding location in beautiful Port Stephens. Situated north of Newcastle and the Hunter Valley and only just 2.5 hours from Sydney. Port Stephens is surrounded by breath-taking beaches and our rocky cliffs provide a beautiful backdrop for your outdoor ceremony and photos.
LOCATION
TERMS & CONDITIONS Booking and Confirmation of Reservations Bookings must be confirmed by a deposit ($160 for the Sea Scapes room & $240 for the Auditorium) within 14 days of a tentative booking. Where a deposit is not received by the due date, Soldiers Point Bowling Club reserves the right to release the booking. An estimate number of attendees is required at the time of reservation.
Guaranteed Numbers Confirmation of final numbers for your catering must be paid in full seven (7) days prior to the reception, this will be the minimum number charged for on the day/night. Any decreases (including no-shows) will not be refunded. Increases will be accepted subject to availability.
Terms of Payment Catering accounts/ reception packages must be paid in full on confirmation of final numbers, seven (7) days prior to the reception. Additional beverage accounts and incidentals are required to be paid for at the completion of the event. Payment may be made by cheque, cash or credit card (we do not accept American Express or Diners Club cards).
Food and Beverage To ensure your needs are met we require your selected menu no later than 2 weeks prior to your reception. We are able to cater for special dietary requirements, please advise these requirements no later than 1 week prior to the reception.
Food or beverages of any kind (excluding wedding cakes) are not permitted to be brought onto Soldiers Point Bowling Club premises.
The reception packages contained herein are subject to change without notice. Packages are valid from 1st January 2016 to 31st December 2017. Menu selection and beverage lists are subject to change, both in content and price, without notice. This will only be done if absolutely necessary.
Cancellation Policy Should you need to cancel your reception for any particular reason we would require this request in writing. Your deposit will be returned up to 3 months prior to the event. Deposits are non-refundable where cancellations occur within the 3 month period.
Room Hire & Booking Times Luncheons are based on 4 hours with all evening events based on 5 hours. Beverage service will cease 15 minutes prior to confirmed finishing time.
Evening events Friday and Saturday – finish no later than 11.45pm with the bar to close no later then 11.30pm Sunday to Thursday – finish no later than 11pm with the bar to close no later then 10.45pm.
Decorations and Table Décor Our wedding reception packages offer circular tables seating for between 6 to 10 guests. (tables seat 8 guests comfortably) White linen tablecloths and napkins are used for all weddings.
All decorations included in our wedding packages are set up and supplied by: Sitting Pretty, Port Stephens. It is your responsibility to liaise with the decorator in regards to the reception decorations.
Confetti, sprinkles, star/glitter or similar material are not permitted inside or outside the club.
Decorations such as balloons, streamers etc. are permitted but must be affixed in such a manner as to not damage the walls.
Club Regulations & Policies Smoking – Smoking is not permitted inside Soldiers Point Bowling Club. Smoking areas are available to accommodate smokers.
Dress Regulations – All patrons in attendance must abide by the clubs dress regulations. The club reserves the right to prohibit entry of patrons dressed in violation of these rules.
Signing In – All patrons that are not current financial members of the club must produce formal identification and sign the Club’s Temporary Members Register upon arrival. For guests who live within 5km of the club (Soldiers Point, Salamander Bay, Taylor’s Beach or Corlette) they must either become a social member of the club for a cost of $10 or be signed in by a current member. The client may allocate one guest to become a member, who can then sign in any other guests who live within 5km of the club.
Children – Persons under the age of 18 years are restricted to the immediate function room. Bookings will not be accepted if there is not a fair representation of responsible adults.
Personal Liability – The organiser of the event is personally responsible for any damages incurred throughout the duration of the event. This encompasses both the interior and exterior property of Soldiers Point Bowling Club.
Responsible Service of Alcohol In accordance with the provisions of liquor laws of New South Wales, Soldiers Point Bowling Club adopts a policy of responsible service of alcohol. This policy requires that alcohol must not be served to guests who are intoxicated or to under age guests. If during the course of your reception, the staff of Soldiers Point Bowling Club is of the opinion that a guest or guests have become intoxicated, the club reserves the right to suspend service of alcohol to any such guest/s, and to require such guest/s to leave the clubs premises. If this occurs you will be informed immediately and your assistance is requested to ensure the minimum of disruption to your reception and to the enjoyment of other guests.
