Matthew 5:13-1513“You are the salt of the earth. But
what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. 14 “You are the light of the
world- like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it
gives light to everyone in the house.
16In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will
praise your heavenly Father.
2 Kings 2:20-2220Elisha said, “Bring me a new bowl
with salt in it.” So they brought it to him. 21Then he went out to the spring that
supplied the town with water and threw the salt into it. And he said, “This is
what the Lord says: I have purified this water. It will no longer cause death or
infertility.” 22And the water has remained pure ever since, just as
Elisha said.
Holiness in the Scriptures is not based upon our knowledge. It is based upon the
resurrected Christ dwelling IN us and changing us INTO
His likeness.
Numbers 18:19All the holy contributions that the
people of Israel present to the Lord I give to you, and to your sons and
daughters with you, as a perpetual due. It is a covenant of salt forever before the Lord for you and for your offspring
with you.
Faith is not the belief that God will do what
you want. It is the belief that God will
do what is right.
Colossians 4:6Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each
person.
John 8:12Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I
am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness,
but will have the light of life.”
