1st masthead idea

• Independence – Independences means to have freedom from the control of another.

• I believe that this is extremely strong and very meaningful, this will also make the targeted audience really curious to read my music magazine this would be because the masthead would be extremely different to what anyone seen within a magazine masthead before.

• I believe that this masthead is extremely stereotypical to the alternative/indie genre but my reasons for this would be because, the targeted audiences needs to instantly recognizable what genre the magazine will be, and know that it will be a extremely suitable magazine for them.

2nd Masthead idea

• Liberty – the state of being free within societies from harsh limitations forced by authority anyone's life.

• I believe that this masthead idea is extremely powerful, and people within the age group of my targeted audience would instantly want to read my alternative music magazine, this will be due to the fact that that targeted audience will feel like that will be able to be free whilst reading my magazine.

• I also think that this masthead idea is extremely suitable for the unisex genre within my magazine as I believe that it is extremely suitable for my genders.

3rd Masthead Idea

• Discovery – discovery means to have a finding of something or something and re-experiencing something or yourself.

• I believe that this is very in-depth and is extremely out standing to the target audience.

4th masthead idea

• Indie - Indie isn’t a 'look' or a 'style' it’s part of the way you think, independent from what the mainstream wants you to think (which would explain the love of political debates), independent from what Elle and Cosmo want you to wear this month, independent from what MTV plays, independent from labels and restrictions in general. Basically indie means following your own mind.

5th masthead idea

• Individual - Meaning a person who acts in the way they want to and is not bound by the sad rules of society, live life for filling goals for their self-esteem. An individual has their 'own' mind and seeks enlightenment through completing personal tasks set by themselves and are not influenced by someone else's opinion simply because they are 'popular'.
