The platform is a unitized welded structure withcontinuous welds at the beam, header plate andhingetubesformaximumstrength.Thedeckplate,lip plate and beam sections are constructed ofminimum55,000PSIyieldhigh-tensilematerial.Thefixedrearhingeprovides4"ofside-to-sidetiltwithnopinchpoint.Theframehassevensolidsteelrear supports, an open front design for easy pitcleaning,andlipsupportsthatpreventillegalentrywhenthedoorisclosed.ThefullwidthfrontandrearhingerodsareSAE1045superior shaft and factory coatedwithanti-seizelubricant.

The operator presses the control button until thedeckisraisedandthelipisfullyextended.Releasing the button allows the lip to lower ontothetruckbed.The operator stores the leveler by pressing thecontrolbuttonuntilthelipfullyretracts.Thestandard16"longlipprojects11"beyonda4"bumpertoengageatruckbed12"aboveorbelowfloorlevel.

Thepowerunitisaframemountedintegralassemblyfullytestedandoilfilled.Themotorisatotallyenclosednon-ventilatedtypeavailableinallvoltages.ThecontrolboxisaNEMA12dusttightenclosurewith motor starter, thermal overload and singlepushbutton.Thehydrauliccylinderisaheavy-dutydesignwitha polished chrome rod, guide bearing and high-pressure seals. The hydraulic hose is SAE 100R2withpermanentfittingsattached.
