FundingisnowavailabletoWWOOF-USAmemberswithabackgroundorinterestinphotojournalism

andfilmmaking,andwhowillbevisitingmultipleWWOOF-USAhostfarmsduringtheyear.WWOOF-USAMissionStatementWWOOF-USAispartofaworldwideefforttolinkvisitorswithorganicfarmers,promoteaneducationalexchange,andbuildaglobalcommunityconsciousofecologicalfarmingpractices.

TheWWOOF-USAMultimediaGrantProgram,establishedin2016,willawardonegranttoaWWOOF-USAmemberforaspecialprojectthathelpstopromoteourmissionthroughphotosandvideos.TherearesomanyincredibleWWOOFstoriestotell,andwehopethisprojectwillhelpyoutoshareyours.ProjectRequirementsProjectrequirementsincludeproducingaminimumof20highqualityphotos,3ormoreshortvideos(3minmax)followingguidelinesprovidedbyWWOOF-USA,anda7-daysocialmedia‘take-over’featuringtheawardee’sphotosorvideosonline.Bysubmittingmaterials,awardeegrantsWWOOF-USAtherighttocopy,distribute,display,aswellasauthorizeotherstousethosematerialsforanypromotionalpurpose.ThisprogramalsorequiresthattheawardeeisamemberofWWOOF-USA,andthatprojectmaterialsarecreatedatmultipleWWOOFhostfarmsintheUSAduringthegrantperiod.Thegrantisfor$2000,withhalfawardedatthestartofgrantperiod,andtheremainderawardeduponcompletionofproject.ProposalswillbeacceptedpriortoMay15,2016.AwardswillbeannouncedbyJune15,2016.AllfundedprojectsmustbecompletednolaterthanMay31,2017.Projectapplicationsmustfollowsubmissionguidelinesbelowtobeconsidered.SubmissionGuidelinesPleasesubmita2-pageproposaldescribingqualifications,timeline,whereyouintendtoWWOOF,interestinWWOOF,andbackgroundorinterestinphotographyandfilmmaking.Alsoincludea1-pageresume,plussamplesofphoto(6max)andvideo(2max)work.Applicationsshouldbenomorethan3pagestotal,sentinasoneWord/PDFdocument,plusanysupplementalphotosandvideos.Includeatitlepagewithyourname,address,phonenumber,email,andWWOOF-USAmembershipinformation.SubmitinformationelectronicallybyMay15,2016to:SarahPotenza,WWOOF-USADirector,at:[email protected]’sMultimediaGrantfundingandWWOOF-USAisthrilledabouttheopportunitytosupportWWOOF-USAmembersinvisitingfarmsandcreatingbeautifulWWOOFstoriesthatcanbesharedwithothersthroughvideosandphotos.Becreativewithyourproposals-weareexcitedtohearaboutyourproject!Whenapplying,weencourageyoutothinkaboutyourWWOOFstoryandhowyoucouldshareitwithotherstohelpgrowtheWWOOFmovementandfosterthespreadoforganicfoodandfarming.
