District Track

The Class 1, District 8 Track meet was held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at St. Joe Christian High School. 16 teams were in attendance. The St. Joe Christian Boys took the District Championship title with 83 points. The Rock Port boys placed eleventh with 31 points and East Atchison took thirteenth with 20 points. The Mound City Girls team took first place with 120 points. The Rock Port Girls came in fourth place with 68.33 points and East Atchison with 34 points. Following are the results:

Journi Burke, Madison Taylor, Jackie Bradley, and Megan Stevens made for a dynamic 4x100 Meter Relay team. They placed fourth with a time of 54.24.

Fourth place was seized by the 4x200 team, Journi Burke, Madison Taylor, Jackie Bradley, and Cortney LaHue.

The 4x400 team, consisting of Journi Burke, Jackie Bradley, Megan Stevens, and Cortney LaHue, advances to Sectionals with a time of 4:35.89.

Megan Stevens glides over the hurdle. She advances to Sectionals in the 100 and 300 Meter Hurdles.

Ty Jones works to advance to Sectionals in the 3200 Meter run.

Alexis Baucom launches the discus to land fourth place.

Cortney LaHue catches some air at a height of 410. Cortney placed second in the high jump.

Alexis Baucom placed second with a throw of 3406.5.

Madison Taylor had a speedy take off from the blocks in the 100 Meter Dash. She placed fourth.

Braden Minter soared over the competition with a vault of 1106. Braden grabbed the gold and advances on.
