Dear Friends of the American Red Cross,As we celebrate our 39th year, it is with great pleasure that we present the 2015 American Red Cross Designer Show House. We are pleased and honored to be serving as General Chairmen for this illustrious event. We extend a warm welcome to our new designers who continue to contribute their time and talent.
This year we revisit a beautiful Mediterranean style house, designed by Addison Mizner’s protégé G. Sherman Childs, called La Florentia, nicknamed The Birthday Cake Castle. Designers’ careful eye to detail, scale and proportion is truly represented in every space. It is our hope that you will fi nd the designers’ interpretations inspirational as well as educational, as this is a true hallmark of the interior design profession.
We would like to thank our homeowners, Scott Levine and Jeniffer Mora, who have generously donated their house for our event. Your participation as our guest is a tremendous support for the local efforts of the American Red Cross. Your contribution brings education and awareness to our community as well as bringing life-saving services to those in need.
On behalf of the American Red Cross and the 2015 Designer Show House team, we thank you for your continued support.

Letter from the Board Chairman & Chief Development Offi cer
Welcome Friends & Family of The American Red Cross,
We are very proud to present the 39th American Red Cross Designer Show House. As you are about to experience this spectacular 1925 Mizner-style home, we hope that you will also join us in celebrating all that the American Red Cross does for our community and beyond.
We wish to offer a very special thank you to the Show House designers, committee mem-bers, our corporate partners, and all who give so much of themselves to the humanitarian mission of the Red Cross.
Across our South Florida Region we respond every 20 hours, on average, to one of our neighbors in need, meeting their immediate physical and mental health needs. We also work year-round to make sure we are prepared for any event that comes our way. This includes the ability to shelter some 100,000 people, in the Greater Palm Beaches alone, when a major hurricane looms off our shores.
We also empower friends and neighbors to save lives through a variety of training courses including fi rst aid, childcare, and lifesaving CPR. Volunteers stand ready to assist military families who need to connect with loved ones overseas, or a soldier who requires medical care to transition back to active duty.
The American Red Cross is part of the world’s largest humanitarian network with 13 million volunteers in 187 countries. Working together, we help respond to disasters, build safer communities, and educate future humanitarians.
Through your support of our annual event, you help ensure that the American Red Cross is there when needed most.
Thank you!
Jeanne Pidot Amy Mauser

More than twenty renowned interior and exterior designers stage an extreme make-over with creative control on the 39th American Red Cross Designer Show House, located in Lake Worth, FL. The magnificent and historic Mediterranean-style
home, entitled La Florentia, was chosen as the 2015 Designer Show House.
Designers from New York to Palm Beach transformed the 7,000+ square-foot home, nicknamed the Birthday Cake Castle. The home was originally built by Addison Mizner’s protégé, G. Sherman Childs, in 1925. It received its Birthday Cake Castle moniker when past owner Upton Close gave the home to his wife, Margaret Fretter Nye, as a birthday present in 1954. It has numerous cake-like qualities including two birthday candle-like pillars on either side of the grand entrance, thick plaster interior swirls made to resemble icing on a cake, and a birthday cake stained glass window.
Over 4,000 people are expected to tour the home with unique features including an octagonal turret, 52 windows, an impressive grand front stairway, stained glass windows, and 135 feet of waterfront on the Intracoastal Waterway.
The American Red Cross Designer Show House continues to be a unique fundraiser for the South Florida Region. This highly anticipated event provides an exceptional opportunity for all to experience fine living and outstanding home design.

The 39th SettlerProminent Architect G. Sherman Childs was the 39th settler of Lake Worth, having
fl ed the cold winters in Minnesota for the promise of paradise. Many tried to last in the
frontier-like atmosphere of Lake Worth in the early 1900’s, few lasted, but Childs and his
family did. He is now cconsidered one of Lake Worth’s most signifi cant architects.
Childs began working with Addison Mizner as his chief draftsman soon after arriving in
Florida. He worked on many of his most famous projects including the Everglades Club,
El Mirasol, and Playa Rienta. Later, he opened his own offi ce in Lake Worth where he built
many of the largest and most prominent buildings in the area, leaving an indelible footprint.
One of his most notable is perhaps La Florentia, aka, The Birthday Cake Castle which was
built in 1925. It was the fi rst property listed on the Lake Worth Register of Historic Places.

G. Sherman Childs was your great-grandfatheron your mother’s side?
Yes, G. Sherman Childs was my great-grandfather on my mother’s side. He had three children, Jean Childs (the fi rst girl born in Lake Worth,) and Irvene and Irvin Childs (fi rst set of twins born in Lake Worth). Irvin Childs, my grand-father, had three daughters: Aleda Childs, Nona Childs (my Mother) and Carol Childs. Nona Childs had two sons:Dennis Ramey and me, Todd Ramey.
Those early years in Lake Worth were not for the faint of heart. What was that like for your great-grandfather and his family?
I have often thought about what it would have been like for the pioneers of Lake Worth. I wish that I would have had a chance to have known my great-grandfather and to hear his stories fi rst hand. I can only imagine how exciting it would have been to be on the forefront of such a wonderful under-taking which we know today as Lake Worth.
Of all his achievements, what would you think your great-grandfather would be most proud of?
I truly believe that my great-grandfather would have been most proud of his family and the wonderful values they have passed on to their children and their children’s children.
What is your favorite work of his?
My favorite work would be La Florentia (The Birthday Cake Castle) and my grandparent’s house as I spent many happy moments there in my childhood.
Your mother grew up a few blocks from La Florentia. When was the last time she was inside? Does it hold any special memories?
Actually, I do not know if my mother has ever been inside of La Florentia. I have never been inside. I am looking forward to going there for the fi rst time with my family during the Red Cross Designer Show House.
How has the legacy of your great grandfather’s work infl uenced or inspired your life?
It has made me understand that everything you do defi nes you and has a lasting impact.

Addison Mizner The Man Who Inspired Palm Beach
Addison Mizner transformed the look of South Florida with his unique Spanish style architecture and Mediterranean revival designs. His footprint is reflected today in our
barrel-tile roofs, stucco walls and wrought-iron accents. He arrived in Palm Beach at the age of 46. It was a time when large resorts were going out of style and oceanfront mansions were becoming all the rage.
Mizner’s first major Florida commission was The Everglades Club, a Spanish mission style retreat built in 1918. It later became a private club which it remains today. This lead to his legendary commission-to-build resort mansions for Palm Beach high society. The Mizner Style is the featured design of the 2015 American Red Cross Designer Show House.

Biography
Fernando Wong personifies the ‘American Dream.’ At 24, the nascent landscape designer came to the US from Pan-ama where he studied architecture and interior design. He started designing projects and taking on his own clients on weekends which eventually led to him founding his own landscape architecture firm, Fernando Wong Outdoor Liv-ing Design, in Miami Beach in 2005. More clients led to the need for a larger office on one of the world’s most famous shopping streets, Worth Avenue. In 2014 Wong welcomed legendary landscape architect, Phil Maddux formerly of Sanchez Maddux out of retirement and into the firm. Un-like the majority of landscape designers, Fernando has no identifiable style that makes all of his projects recognizable as a Wong design. Instead his designs are based on the architecture of the building using classic elements such as scale, proportion, symmetry and layering. He also divides outdoor spaces into rooms that become exotic extensions of the indoor spaces. This approach has led to innumerable magazine and newspaper stories as well as the prestigious Design Center of the Americas Star of Design Award for Landscape Architecture.
Today the firm is a full service, design/build landscape/hardscape and garden design company with offices in Palm Beach and Miami Beach that creates everything from resorts and condominiums to large residential estates and compounds. Fernando has completed over 150 public and private gardens, including large estates, public spaces, roof gardens, hotel as well as condominium master plans and LEED Platinum Certified landscapes. Presently he is work-ing on projects for three Four Seasons Resorts. Wong has also lectured on design at the Design Center of The Amer-icas as well as the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami and the firm was chosen to do the 2016 Elle Décor Show House in Miami Beach in addition to the American Red Cross 2015 Designer Show House.
Room Description
We are once again honored to be included in the an-nual Palm Beach Red Cross Show House. This year we designed the area around the front door of the famous Birthday Cake Castle designed by Addison Mizner protégé, architect G. Sherman Childs. We were espe-cially pleased to be able to design this area because it includes the two swirled pillars topped with flaming ma-sonry designs that frame the front door like giant white birthday-cake candles. That design element as well as the thick frosting like plaster is what gives the house its name so we wanted to make sure that landscape highlighted these famous features. We then used scale, proportion and layering with plant material that Mizner himself favored as an homage both to the great man, his pupil and the architecture of the house.”

At Forte Interiors, Design, Build, our approach balances original and timeless design, producing interior archi-tecture that reflects the individuality of each client. We differentiate ourselves with the utilization of virtual 3D spatial planning, as well as in-house fabrication capabil-ities focusing heavily on interior woodwork, comprehen-sive custom cabinetry for kitchens, bathrooms and oth-er significant areas of the home. Think of us not just as the designers and fabricators of your custom woodwork, joinery, and furniture, but as the liaison between your architect and contractor, making your experience seam-less and enjoyable. Principal/Designer Andrew Mormile began his career in the yacht industry, working alongside top naval architects and designers. Making the transition to high end residential design, Andrew honed his skills and learned that the keys to success were in the details,
collaborating with interior architecture firms in New York, Philadelphia and Palm Beach to create luxury interiors. His technical understanding brings a sophisticated and holistic approach to Forte’s designs. Principal/Designer Nick Skidmore earned a Master’s Degree in Architecture and studied extensively at the Palazzo Dei Cerchi in Flor-ence, Italy. There he gained eminent appreciation for European Interior architecture design traditions. Prior to Forte, Nick was based in Chicago designing for architec-ture firms with projects overseas. His work reflects his in-ternational experiences, creating innovative designs that are both current and enduring.
Forte interiors is the newest addition to the VT Group, a professional suite of design and graphics companies un-der the direction of Bob Mormile, CEO and President.

Room Description
The conversion of a former garage into the master bath allowed us to incorporate the home’s original Arabesque elements into the interior design. The inspiration for this bath came from Norton Museum’s exhibit this summer featuring Doris Duke’s Shangri-La home. An alluvion awaits you in the couples shower. The spa includes dual shower heads, body sprays, a rain shower, and a handheld shower at the bench area. The BLU Bathworks soaking tub nestles you in an enveloping cocoon. A custom de-signed and printed wallcovering from Living Pattern pro-vides a shimmering backdrop to dramatic Turkish stone from AKDO. Mosaic patterns are used to great effect throughout the bath. A custom Lambrequin window sur-round evokes Duke’s, Mughal Suite, entryways. We want to give a special thanks to ESO Plumbing and Stephenson Marble and Tile for their tremendous help.

Small room, big impact! With the use of rich colors and metallic accents we have transformed this small bed-room into a space that can be described as a glamourous multi-purpose high impact area for a multitude of activi-ties. A custom daybed upholstered in a textured off white fabric has been utilized instead of a traditional bed allow-ing for both sleeping or entertaining area. A vivid color palette of vibrant turquoise/green is contrasted boldly against crisp white and shimmery silver accents. Beau-tiful silvery white draperies flank the daybed and frame the area softening the rooms while adding additional tex-tural. All of these elements are anchored by a simple and fresh area rug.

Room Description
The grand Living Room of La Florentia, also known as the Birthday Cake Castle, represents the formal enter-taining space for the 1925 Mediterranean-style home. Anchored by an original Adam fireplace and highlighted with stained glass spade-shaped trefoil windows, Lisa Erd-mann followed the formal lead of the room’s architecture and original embellishments to design an elegant, sophis-ticated room filled with antiques, lush textiles and stylish upholstered furniture. Opposing the fireplace, she chose an exquisite antique Regency mahogany sideboard (En-glish circa 1825) from the Elephant’s Foot, establishing her classic signature style of mixing period antiques with lus-cious textiles and interesting accents to create the stylish look. The upholstery and drapery fabrics from Cowtan & Tout lend an elegant sophistication with cool soft blues, accents of neutrals and a modern herringbone textile in an beautiful complimentary shade of blue. A luxurious blue ombre silk and linen fabric cascades around the tre-foil windows, linen and cotton patterned textiles add soft color and visual elegance while a neutral sofa detailed with a wide velvet trim complements the space. Accents, accessories and original artwork provide a curated and well-travelled look and complete the final touches of a space expected from an owner of this historic home.

Biography
From early childhood, Jobe Lopez showed a natural in-clination towards creativity and a genuine love for all things horticulture. The introduction to the work of world renowned English Landscape architect Montague Russel Page, Brazilian architect Roberto Burle Marx and Span-ish architect Fernando Caruncho proved to be a major influence on developing the foundation to many of the ideas and themes Jobe and his brother Josue still value and practice to this day. In the ever evolving world of landscape design, Jobe believes that one principle should remain above all; the idea that architecture, landscaping and garden should be seen as a single feature and all should work harmoniously combined as one. This same concept can be seen in other artistic fields such as fashion design, where textile, textures and colors are combined as one to accommodate to the human figure. The same way a garden must work along with the natural landscape, buildings and structures accommodate each property’s
particular look and need. By the rule of this principle, to Jobe, no two designs or projects are ever the same and each one is truly unique. Following this principle can sometimes prove to be challenging due to the high at-tention to detail required for each project, however this is a challenge Jobe relishes taking on. Many of Jobe’s past work has been featured in known architectural magazines such as Architectural Digest, Landscape Architecture, and many other publications. In his latest endeavors, Jobe has been involved in the creation of residential mega gar-dens. In many of these projects he has been privileged to work with renowned landscape architect Jorge Sanchez. Working alongside an individual with such vast knowl-edge, artistic sensibility and genuine joy towards botan-ical plants has proven to be a great influence and a moti-vating factor in Jobe’s never ending pursuit of expanding his artistic and creative abilities.
Room Description
Our main objective for the Corridor area of the Designers Show House was to mirror the experience of stepping into a traditional Seville “Callejon”. vIn order to create this feeling, we chose to incorporate a balanced color combination including the vibrant colorful Bougainvilleas and Osaka tree and the beautiful greenery of Carmona bushes. Instead of a symmetrical, rigid rendering, we opted for a more free flowing and balanced design as it evokes a sense of serenity and calmness that characterizes many Spanish gardens.

There is all the necessary equipment here, but with an unexpected twist. A sink atop a wrought iron base is powder coated in a warm, steely grey, a seashell sink stopper adorns the bottom like a little jewel, and a commode with a cushion close lid. The walls shimmer with a subtle gold wall covering and gathered, embroidered, fabric covers the window al-lowing diffused light to enter, but still affording privacy. The shimmering mirror lets you check yourself before heading back to the party, but it’s cozy and quiet here so you decide to stay, enjoying the repeated color,of gold, bronze and white. Mimi Masri’s design style has been described as contem-porary, sophisticated classic, modern eclectic and icono-clastic. Irrespective of how one may define it, her design point of view articulates a fresh, bold aesthetic derived from a thoughtful and often unexpected melding of color, texture, finish, scale and architectural detail. Masri prefers a strong, determined look, with space to breathe and en-joy one’s surroundings regardless of square footage. She begins with clean lines and a minimum of eye-catching embellishments which reflect the polished feel of the contemporary design. She then proceeds to introduce el-
ements from other genres and periods, bending and ma-nipulating her projects to create a finished product which evokes an emotional reaction. Her rooms do not “look,” they “feel”. Respecting her background in the classical style, Masri’s body of work explores the infinite oppor-tunity of design creativity and artistic diversity. Using her innate architectural sensitivity, impeccably accurate sense of color and color pairing, and intuitive understanding of texture and scale, she weaves together timeless and in-finitely elegant interiors.

The inspiration for the East Gardens come from the architecture period and style of the home. We want the gardens to feel a little contemporary, but still have a Mediterranean feeling. The design intent is to play with color, texture, scale and light. The gardens capture the water views and create a strong relationship between the house, the gardens and the surrounding waters. The East Gardens are unexpected and a complete surprise.

More than any other industry, Interior Design requires an intimate connection between the client and designer. After nearly a decade as the creative force behind PGD, Piper’s recurring motto has become “I am creating a space that will be beautiful and that you will also be com-fortable in.” Her clients describe her as “honest and clear,” giving guidance on compatibility, style, coordination and cost. Her goal is to help clients discover their story and style and turn that into a design that is a true reflection of them. She focuses on creating spaces that reflect the client’s needs, lifestyle and vision, each design uniquely tailored to suit the client. Her signature talent and passion is the ability to express a client’s vision through the use of textiles. Layering texture, pattern and color adds interest and personality to her spaces. Clients trust Piper to listen,
understand and translate their personal style and needs, sometimes stretching their boundaries while creating spaces that are beautiful and practical. Piper earned her MBA from the University of Central Florida, then contin-ued her education in Interior Design at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. As much a function of her experience as her education, Piper’s conceptual framework comes from growing up in the tropical islands and extensive travel through Europe, South and Central America. Her client base ranges from New York to the Carolinas to Florida and from casual to formal, eclectic to traditional. Her acute attention to detail and personalized approach to design balances function with refined design and creates distinctive interior environments.
Room Description
Comfortable textures and worn finishes give this family room a lived in feel and invite you to spend time in the space. Centering around a floating sofa upholstered in a large print, bold coral fabrics bring an energy that is care-fully balanced against natural textures and neutral solids. The soft shape of the cocktail table and the clipped cor-ners of the media chest add interest with their form as well as with their distressed cream and gray finishes. A round concrete top table grounds the game room under a mag-nificent shelled chandelier. Designed for family living, the cozy reading nook, game table, writing desk and seating area all provide practicality and comfort while framing the beautiful Intracoastal view.

decorative painters, Scott Robertson shifted his career focus and has become a sought-after interior design-er. Trained as a fine artist, Scott worked with many of the nation’s top designers to create some of the coun-try’s most beautiful homes and to restore some of Palm Beach’s most notable interiors; in essence, a training in the art of interior design working with the most notable designers of our time. Now, he brings his artist’s eye and seasoned perspective to his own clients’ homes, creating personalized interiors that are both beautiful and prac-tical, in styles that range from contemporary to classic. He believes that a respect for client’s lives and tastes and experiences leads to balanced and functional interiors. “So many of my clients have led rich full lives, acquir-
ing amazing collections of furniture, objects, and art. If I respect those objects and incorporate them into a new home, I have honored both the client and the objects. It creates a more nuanced, interesting room.” Many years of experience working with clients as an artist give this designer a rare ability to understand clients’ needs while accurately reflecting their tastes and lifestyles. Scott’s clients immediately recognize him as “someone I knew I could work with.” While keeping the big picture in mind, Scott nevertheless pays close attention to each project’s details, a habit gained from decades as a fine artist. The result? Memorable, lively interiors with style and energy designed for 21st century lives.
Room Description
Up a small tucked away staircase one enters a secluded private oasis. The perfect guest room- quiet, filled with light, spacious with a private seating area for reading, and a lovely terrace with the best view in the house looking out across the lawn to the Intracoastal. I wanted to create a room that enhanced the special attributes of the space. Something quiet, low keyed, serene, and comfortable. As with many projects, the first inspiration was a special fabric which in this case was the woven ikat fabric from Kravet used for the drapery panels. I wanted to create a “white” room so the decision to limit the color palette to off whites, neutral greys and celadon was the next choice.
Following with the white theme, the painted floor provid-ed a special pattern and scale suited to the space of the room without the expense of a custom carpet. Also, the painted floor keeps the room cool, low maintenance, and open; a damp mop and it’s ready to go. The large uphol-stered headboard adds a touch of drama behind the bed as well as hiding an unfortunately placed window.
As with any room the goal is comfort, functionality, and livability. I have no problem imagining any house guest enjoying this hideaway and hoping the hosts simply for-get they are even up here.

After more than 20 years as one of Palm Beach’s most re-nowned decorative painters, Designer Stephen Mooney’s unique point of view is eclectic yet firmly rooted in the basic tenets of quality, comfort and timeless elegance. He credits his background, the Northern California childhood, the solid foundation of a Rhode Island School of Design education, and wanderlust-fueled travel to the four corners of the world. Although keenly aware of avant-garde trends in décor and of revolutionary developments in materials and applications, Stephen remains committed to creating interiors that tran-scend fashion for the more everlasting style. “Classic Interi-ors, whether Contemporary or Traditional, when done well,
can stand the test of time,” he explains. “My designs involve intelligent use of color, the integrity of exquisite materials, craftsmanship and scale, and the delight of the unexpected. The goal is to provide my clients with environments that re-flect their own personalities.” Stephen Mooney’s design stu-dios and showroom are just steps off fabled Worth Avenue in charming Via Parigi. Here, within earshot of the trickling fountain and lush bougainvillea, a closely knit design team creates and manages projects that range widely in scale and scope – from modest pieds-a-terre to grand manor resi-dences – from around the corner to across the country.

Biography
Todd Hase has always had a passion for fine furnishings.. As a child he attended antique auctions in the Midwest by himself, bidding on furniture and collectibles for his parent’s antique business as well as his own. He developed a keen eye for a quality piece of furniture from many peri-ods in history. The architecture program at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Harrington Institute of Interior Design honed his classical planning skills and there he became focused on interior design, furniture design, and the way people would utilize a space. Upon graduation, working as a freelance interior designer in Chicago and then New York City, Todd encountered repeated voids in the furniture market. He could never find the perfect
mix of old and new, current yet livable so he began to de-sign pieces for his clients. The New York press and de-sign world became enamored with his original collection leading to twenty-plus years of successful furniture and interior design. When not in one of his national showroom ateliers in New York City, Southampton, or Palm Beach, Todd travels the world living half of each year in France. This pattern has certainly grounded his work in an interna-tional history of design, but raising two active daughters with his wife keeps his work relevant-- modern, American and livable. His interiors have graced the covers of Elle Décor, Interior Design, House & Garden, Architectural Digest and The NY Times Magazine.
Room Description
Loggia - ‘New Fashioned’ Tropical Ballroom - Interior and furniture designer Todd Hase creates the ultimate reception space in the historic mansion’s Loggia. Palla-dian proportions and ballroom references are honored and enhanced with Todd’s eponymous collection of fine furnishings. Modern armless settees ground antique gilt ballroom chairs for seating flexibility. Ethereal Lu-cite drink tables pepper the groupings and a gilt wood guéridon with a fantastical blue marble top centers the hall. Azul phalaenopsis orchids adorn three crystal chan-deliers as well as the architecture and historic fountain. The result is a ‘new-fashioned’ tropical ballroom.

Biography
Frank Maguire co-founded Quigley Maguire Collections, located at 301 Pineapple Grove Way, in Delray Beach with partner Karen Quigley in the fall of 2010. The collec-tion is a showcase of estate and contemporary furnishings and decorative accessories, each hand-picked and edited by the partnership. Combining 30 years in the advertis-ing business with his experiences renovating for friends, family and clients up and down the east coast, Frank has been able to launch an impressive home furnishings retail store and consultation business. Frank’s strong sense of color, finely honed in the graphic arts field as well as his
intimate knowledge of how individuals and their families live, provides an excellent foundation for collaboration with clients. Known for his high energy level, Frank also immerses himself in local philanthropy through the Red Cross Show House. He underwrites the Show House Boutique which houses select merchandise that makes artful design available to our visitors for take-out! In addition, Frank’s work is on view in the Show House first floor powder room. His enthusiasm is contagious and his professionalism has resulted in a local success story.
Room Description
A departure from the traditional man cave, Frank Maguire’s cigar room is based on his interpretation of the gentleman’s retreat. Enveloped in a dark navy high gloss paint, one relaxes among images captured by the leather patch work rug and inspired artwork. Yet, this is Palm Beach and Frank provides a nod to nature with his stunning Deco rattan chairs amongst other wonderful accoutrements.

Room Description
An eclectic yet whimsical foyer is the first impression one perceives when stepping in this historical 1920’s home known as the La Florentia, The Birthday Cake Castle. A mixture of materials and bright colors of the art created by local artists shape this witty and inviting entrance. A gorgeous chocolate brown modern chest displaying square brass knobs and a spectacular rectangular Venetian style mirror from the early 20th century shows the diversified styles Verónica embraces. Two formidable oversized Provencal lanterns reflect ample light in the hallways and emphasize the elements of architecture and design.

Biography
William Bainbridge Steele, originally from Santa Barba-ra, California, began his career in 1990 with the estab-lishment of William Bainbridge Steele Designs in Vero Beach. Since then, he has expanded his operating ter-ritory to include offices in Palm Beach, Greenwich and Nantucket. A career spanning over twenty five years, William initially embarked in the field of floral design - creating the most imaginative and spectacular weddings and parties in South Florida throughout the country and abroad. William’s floral design projects delivered him into the world of event planning where he has successfully planned over 150 weddings along with hundreds of pri-vate and corporate events, including a host of charitable
fundraising events. This added avenue steered William into the interior design field after several clients for whom he had planned hugely successful events asked him to de-sign their homes. The interior design field was natural because of William’s keen sense of style and relentless strive for perfection. Clients realize that William takes on each and every project as though it were his own. His personal goal with every endeavor is not to reach a client’s expectations, but to far exceed them. William believes in creating a lifestyle for his clients, one not of fads and trends, but one enveloping a sense of personal style and warmth that makes one’s living space truly a home.
Room Description
The ease and comfort of an era of Old South Florida gone by. Set high on the second floor of this enchant-ing home is a sumptuous Master retreat with separate sleeping area and sitting room overlooking majestic Lake Worth. Rest, relax or read in a comfortable setting of soft whites accented with the slightest hint of blue. Carefully combining old and new, light and dark, William has cre-ated an atmosphere designed for today’s comfort envel-oping the balance of grace and style of the ensconced Mizner-esque Mansion. Textured plaster walls and rich, dark beamed ceilings combined with mahogany stained
hardwood floors create warmth and added intrigue to this tranquil original Master Bedroom Suite.
The Suite has been divided into three separate areas: a sleeping room with a beautiful sleigh bed and romantic fireplace, a reading room with presentation table / card table, and a sitting room with a writing desk, relaxing lounging chairs and adjacent chaise . All areas cohesive-ly encompass one grand, very livable space.
