Chris has over thirty years of involvement in emergency medical
services education, with concurrent professional experience in
all risk public safety career fields, including: Air Medical, SWAT
and special technical rescue.
A passionate teaching style that allows Chris the opportunity to

styles while establishing and maintaining an open two-way
teaching relationship with the students in his classes.

Brain Based Learning: As Simple as 1, 2, 3 This lecture revolves around what the current research has to say about stimulating the brain to: memorize at a higher level, store and retain more information, be-come more motivated and just engage the participant to bring the brain to a new level of awareness in and out of the classroom – thinking for a change! Instructors will value the importance of using brain based learn-ing in the classroom and in everyday life, Instructors will evaluate the strategies that can bring about better retention and motivation to create opportunities for expanded learning.
Creating Energy in the Classroom with the Brain in Mind This lecture centers around how to use brain strategies to tease the brain into learning something new. These are based on solid research to help your students learn more and help you be a better presenter. If you are teaching continuing education or an EMS class this is a critical lecture for you and your students! Instructors will value the importance of using brain based strategies in the classroom and will evaluate the strategies that can bring about better retention and motivation to create opportunities for expanded learning.
Creating People Skills: A Generational Look This lecture centers on how we can be more effective in using our people skills in all social settings – both professionally and personally. This lecture is critical to bet-ter understand ourselves and some of the keys we must pursue to unlock the greatness we have inside our-selves. People skills may seem common sense but common sense just isn’t so common anymore. Instructors will value the importance of people skills in their personal and professional lives and will conduct a reflective evaluation on how they use their people skills to interact in social and professional settings
Building Labs and Clinicals that Make a Difference This lecture centers on how we can be more effec-tive in setting up our labs and clinicals to compliment the students learning. This is a chance to go from good to great as an EMS instructor. Instructors will value the importance of powerful lab and clinical experiences that create greater depth of knowledge in EMS education and will conduct a reflective evaluation on how they currently use their labs and clinicals for a results-driven educational experience.
Mentoring: Raising the Dead in our Profession This lecture revolves around what the current research has to say about mentoring and its effects on a profession. This is a must lecture for anyone that has to deal with others in a cooperative and collaborative environment and want to truly be more effective in our day-to-day contact as EMS professionals. Instructors will value the importance of mentoring in their personal and professional lives and will evaluate the strategies of mentoring and be able to use these strategies to create crucial conversations
Creating Thinking and Improving Test Scores This lecture revolves around what the current research has to say about higher level thinking which lead to higher test scores in and out of the classroom. This is a must lecture for any educator who is attempting to turn around a classroom or program and head in the right direction No longer can we tell folks that there is nothing to be done – the research is compelling and instant improvement can be noted. The Instructors will value the importance of creating a classroom where higher level thinking is the norm and will evaluate strategies that are research based that will build a better environment for real learning to occur.
