Introduction
Combining Linked Data and Mobiles Devices to improve access to OCW, IEEE EDUCON 2012
Most of the Web content is designed for human consumption and stored in a human-understandable but not machine-readable format.
Introduction

Philosophy of GICAC (Group of Innovation in the Quality Management of Higher Education Institutions – UPM, Spain & UTPL, Equator):
Deploying Linked Open Data -particularly data of open educational materials- concerning universities, repositories, people, Open Educational Resources (OER) and Open Course Ware (OCW) from existing institutional repositories and databases, under OCW UNIVERSIA Consortium.
Mobiles and Education
Combining Linked Data and Mobiles Devices to improve access to OCW, IEEE EDUCON 2012
New features of mobile devices promote creation of sites called Markets / Store
Applications designed for mobile devices can take advantage of other incorporated features (camera, microphone, GPS, WIFI, etc.)
Mobiles and Education

LOCWD triplestore contains RDF data of OCW courses published by OCW-Universia network member countries sifting through a total of 1595 OCW courses. The data model is divided into subdomains• OCW repository properties• OCW properties• License properties• Link to datasets of interest in the LinkedOpenData cloud.

Conclusions
Combining Linked Data and Mobiles Devices to improve access to OCW, IEEE EDUCON 2012
Benefit of Combination of Linked Data and mobile devices
The mobile devices could produce OER's (with audio, video, photos, recommendations, etc.) and stored it in semantic repositories.
The users of mobile applications can improve User Experience by consuming semantically enriched information and linked data.
