National Science Scholarship
ELIGIBILITY
• Girl or adult Member of GGC
• Pursuing post-secondary degree/diploma
• Particular emphasis in the field of applied science
and technology - including chemistry and physics
Amount: $2,000 CDN

National Scholarships
ELIGIBILITY
• Girl or adult Member of GGC
• Entering or pursuing post-secondary education
• Full-time basis
Amount: $2,000 CDN
Part-Time Scholarship
ELIGIBILITY
• Girl or adult Member of GGC
• Entering or pursuing post-secondary education
• Part-time basis
Amount: $1,000 CDN
Norma Osler Education Scholarship
ELIGIBILITY
• Girl or adult Member of GGC
• Pursuing post-secondary degree
• Particular emphasis in the field of education
and/or attending teachers’ college
Amount: $2,000 CDN
Norma Osler Education Scholarship
Miss Osler was an Honourary Life Member of Girl Guides of Canada-Guides du Canada who exemplified the ideals of the movement in all facets of her life, as a teacher and school administrator, as a volunteer in church and community activities, and as a Guider serving in local, provincial, national and international leadership roles.
Her family has established the Norma Osler Education Scholarship in memory of her commitment to youth, education and Guiding.
It is further the desire of the family that the successful applicant plans to continue to be an ongoing Member of Girl Guides of Canada-Guides du Canada.
Col. Karen Ritchie Memorial Scholarship
ELIGIBILITY
• Girl or adult Member of GGC
• Entering her first year of engineering in pursuit of
a post-secondary degree
• Full-time basis
Amount: $2,000 CDN
Col. Karen Ritchie Memorial Scholarship
Karen Ritchie was a dedicated, lifelong Guider and GGC Board Member who believed in the importance of empowering Canadian girls and helping them to find their voices.
Following her death in an automobile accident in 2008, the Karen Ritchie Memorial Bursary was established at the request of Karen’s husband, retired Chief Warrant Officer Don Peddle.
Donations in Karen’s memory enabled GGC to award $2,000 bursaries to assist four Members in pursuing their education goals.
Dr. Roberta Bondar Scholarship
ELIGIBILITY
• Girl or adult Member of GGC
• Pursuing post-graduate studies or entering 3rd or
4th year in an undergraduate program
• Specializing in mathematics, science,
applied science or technology
Amount: $2,000 CDN
You’re My Hero Scholarship
ELIGIBILITY
• Girl or adult Member of GGC
• Entering 2nd year, 3rd year, 4th year or
post-graduate studies
• Specializing in social justice
and/or human rights
Amount: $2,000 CDN
