2011 – IT’S A WRAP!! As we struggled to filter through the constant flow of information we saw a year of rapid adjustments driven by environmental, geo-political and a persistent demand for social change.
It’s almost five years to the day since we spoke of the SHIFT. And now, it’s happening – there is a renewed sense of awareness and consciousness.
Consumers look for products that tell a story. There’s a greater sense of responsibility to “shop local”.
A desire to feel more “connected” has been clearly and loudly vocalized. As a result many companies, industries are actively incorporating GLOBAL MICRO MERCHANDISING as part of their overall strategy.
This year’s buzzword – DIGITAL– will continue into 2012 -- facilitating more aspects of our daily lives.
Still … beware of a counter-reaction. One that calls for the preservation of our heritage.
The purchase of books, researching our ancestors, spending more time with family and friends – in spite of 24/7 schedules.
The pace at which today’s world continues to change does not allow for long term permanence or holding on to old concepts.
Our basic sense of intuition will guide us through 2012 – a year that will be replete with opportunities … and challenges.
So as we embark on a new year we ask you to THINK OUT OF THE BOX. Learn to adapt. Take a risk. Discover what does and does not work.
Our motto for 2012 – ANYTHING GOES. If only because the rules have changed and … they will continue to change! But most importantly whatever you do … BE PASSIONATE, BE PROACTIVE.
2012 IS THE YEAR OF THE DRAGON. So go on … GET OUT THERE, SET THE WORLD AFIRE!
