PRE-EVENT WORKSHOPAND SITE VISIT HOSTED BY PRASA, SIEMENS AND GIBELA
PRASA’s journey to deliver the next generation passenger rail services has gained significant momentum and has entered the roll-out phase. This phase incorporates receiving and testing the new trains manufactured by Gibela as well as the Gauteng Nerve Centre built by Siemens to integrate rail operations in Gauteng.
PRASA, Gibela and Siemens hosted Africa Rail delegates at the Wolmerton Depot to view the modern new trains with the latest international technology built by Gibela followed by a visit to the Siemens state-of-the-art Gauteng Nerve Centre (GNC) that uses GPS technology to operate the current and the new PRASA trains.
PRASA, in conjunction with Gibela and Siemens hosted a day themed around ‘’Investing in Passenger Rail Services, uplifting the economy”.

HOW WE SPREAD THE WORDTHE BROCHURE
With the exhibition elevated as Africa’s number one rail conference and exhibition we used the brochure to invite
buyers from across Africa and globally.
The brochure was a great platform to show off all the exhibitors for Africa Rail and let our customers see
why they needed to attend.
BROCHUREWe distributed the brochure to our own
transport database, over 55 industry publications and through our partners,
leading to over 1000 people downloading the brochure in the lead up to the show.
THE VISITOR TICKET Simple and effective, the flyers and fold-out mini brochure was another way to let people know who they would be meeting on the expo floor. As well as the event highlights that will be taking place by our 2016 sponsors.
With a list of all sponsors and exhibitors, it was a quick and easy way to show that Africa Rail had more exhibitors than ever before.
Over 25 000 people received the visitor ticket.
