To begin wi th the bui ld ing was fundamental lyrehabil itated and equipped with modern infra-structure, in keeping with Sustainable UrbanRenewal. The back wing was torn down andreplaced by a courtyard and a new wing withterraced apartments accessible for peoplewith disabil it ies. Glazed corridors connect thetwo buildings. Thanks to the attic conversionmore l iving space was created despite thedemolit ion. The facade was given a very l ivelygreening with plants growing up the entirelength and automatic yratering.
