Lesley will be performing some of her favourite songs, accompanied by Anna Tilbrook and joining Polymnia to sing Rutter’s Gaelic Blessing, Mozart’s Laudate Dominum, Verdi’s La Vergine degli Angeli and well-known songs from musicals.

Ably assisted by pianist Anna Le Hair, John Byron will direct the choir in music with an English focus including Songs and Sonnets, George Shearing’s jazz-based settings of Shakespeare, and the Elgar (arr. Cameron) Lux Aeterna (Nimrod from the Enigma Variations). Also on the programme is one of the choir’s favourites, the mesmerising Northern Lights by Ola Gjeilo.

Polymnia is Milton Keynes’ premier chamber choir. They have sung in a wide range of venues including Mantua’s Ducal Palace as part of the prestigious Mantova Chamber Festival, Granada Cathedral, the Nerja caves in Spain, The Stables, and MK Stadium (for the Rugby World Cup).

Once again the Hilton Hotel will be providing interval drinks in aid of their D M Thomas Foundation for Young People charity and the concert will also support the NSPCC, a charity dear to Lesley’s heart.
