What Does CIF Membership Require
Comply with all CIF Bylaws Adopt the 16 Principles of Pursuing Victory
with Honor. Educate your coaches, parents, students and
administrators on CIF Section Constitution and Bylaws, policies and procedures.
Accept in good faith and abide by all CIF and Section Decisions.
State CIF authorization Forms for voting members. Processed by district or principal.
What Does CIF Membership Require
Monitor athletic program and self-report• Each member school is responsible for the conduct of
its administrators, coaches, athletes, students, and parents.
• Administrative oversight.
Ensure all coaches, paid and unpaid, have completed• Coaching education program (one time requirement)
• First Aid / CPR (2 year renewal)
• Concussion & Sudden Cardiac Arrest courses. (2 year renewal)
• Coach of Conduct
The CIF State Executive Director, Section Commissioner, and the Section Board of Managers shall have the power to:• Suspend, fine, penalize any member school for violations of
any CIF or Section Bylaws.

Section Goals Increase participation through expansion of sport levels and divisions.
Increase athletic director support.
• Implement training to meeting the needs of the athletic directors to manage programs and maintain compliant to all rules and regulations.
Improved league representation and communication between schools and Section.
Elimination of all Section Rules and Regulations that were intended as LAUSD policy.
Implement official’s liaison in all sports to identify rule disputes and school concerns.
Remain financially solvent throughout the year. Provided for reserves for future expenses and emergencies. Maintain positive audit report at end of each year.
Implement an annual BOM training on legal and procedure requirements.
Provide annual calendars six months prior to the fall season.
Increase principals participation & knowledge of league and section governance and rules.
Design budget with cost restrictions in sports that experience greater margins of loss.
Identify a office location that is centrally located to all Section members for future Section location.

What does Max Preps provide to your school
1. The CIFLACS will collect team information automatically through MaxPreps to manage post-season qualifications, season standings, records, stat leaderboards, media publications and other important LACS initiatives.
2. Coaches are directed to update their scores on MaxPreps after each game.
3. MaxPreps is compatible with 43 other stat programs to import game results.

Payment must be made in full and postmarked no later than October 1. A 20% late fee will be assessed if payment is not received after October 1.
If payment is not received prior to November 1:
• Membership to the Section will be suspended.
• No sport participation or scheduling will be allowed until financial obligations have been met (including late fees).

period of time that is not to exceed eight consecutive semesters following initial enrollment into the 9th grade or any class subsequent to completion of the 8th grade.
