Roger Federer Foundation was established in 2003, to manage the philanthropic efforts
of Roger Federer and his family. Its mission is to alleviate poverty among children in
Southern Africa and Switzerland by providing quality education.
In Switzerland, Roger Federer Foundation supports early childhood development through
its partnership with a:primo, an organisation which focuses on helping economically and
socially disadvantaged families in Switzerland acquire the skills to prepare their children
for entering education. Underprivileged and socially isolated families, both Swiss and
migrant, with children between the ages of 1 and 5 years old, will be coached by trained
lay helpers from the families' local community in promoting their children's language,
motor skills and social integration. Funds raised by 100WHF will help to expand this
program across more locations in Switzerland.

MESSAGE FROM ROGER FEDERER ABOUT ROGER FEDERER FOUNDATION
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen
As Founder and President of the Roger Federer Foundation, it is with great pleasure that I add my welcome to 100 Women in Hedge Funds 2013 Geneva Gala. I am sorry that I am unable to attend in person as I will stay on another continent on November 27.
I would like to first thank 100 Women in Hedge Funds for choosing to work with the Roger Federer Foundation this year. This gala is the culmination of a number of events held by 100 Women in Hedge Funds across Switzerland this year in support of the Foundation and our partner organization a:primo. I'm very grateful to everyone involved for their efforts as I believe that by supporting this partner, we can try to change the course of childhood poverty which exists even here in Switzerland. a:primo coaches poor and socially disadvantaged families that are often isolated by preparing their children in needed skills and capabilities. It is an important work that I'm deeply committed to and I thank you that you have chosen this particular partner for your donation.
In closing, I would like to thank you all for coming to the gala as we celebrate the work of 100 Women in Hedge Funds. Your support, by being here tonight, will quite simply transform the lives of many children in need. I wish you all a very enjoyable evening.
Sincerely Yours

SKIN
Skunk Anansie lead vocalist and songwriter
DJ Skin
Skin is one of Britain’s leading female rock singers.
She is also a fashion icon, a renowned DJ, a charity
activist, and an inspiring role model for different
generations of fans. Born and brought up in
Brixton, south London, she defied expectations as
a black woman vocalist by diving headlong into
hardcore rock, rather than becoming a soul session
singer. Since she emerged in the early ‘90s with
Skunk Anansie, Skin has been a groundbreaking
presence.
After the group split up in 2001, Skin launched a
solo career, releasing and touring the albums Fleshwounds in 2003 and Fake Chemical State in 2006. Spawning the hit single ‘Trashed’, Fleshwounds was a pared-down, soulful
album.
As well as fronting one of the UK’s key bands, Skin is a multi-talented artist involved
in varied projects. She has contributed guest vocals to numerous projects, including
'Carmen Queasy' from Maxim (from the Prodigy's) solo album Hell's Kitchen, and 'Meat'
from Tony Iommi's album Iommi. Her 2008 song 'Tear Down These Houses' featured on
the soundtrack to Silvio Muccino's film Parlami d'Amore, and was nominated for an Italian
Oscar. Skin is also an established DJ. She has played out at classic venues like Club Q in
Zurich, with such DJs as Martin Buttrich, Clive Henry and Smokin Jo, Luciano.
With her trademark bald head and striking image, Skin has also become a muse for key
photographers like Mario Testino, Nick Knight and Derek Santini. She has modelled for
top fashion designers, wearing Alexander McQueen for Fashion Rocks in 2003, and then
Gucci in 2005. She has also modeled for Gianfranco Ferre and the Italian couture designer
Liborio Capizzi.
Among her charity work, she has been involved with The Medical Foundation and the
Baobab Foundation, charities that focus on torture victims and asylum seekers. She is
also actively involved in the global campaign against female genital mutilation.

ACE
Skunk Anansie backing vocalist,
guitarist, and songwriter
Ace has been playing guitar for over 30
years and has been successful in the
industry for 20 of them. He has earned a
reputation as being one of the top rock
guitarists in the world, renowned for his
love and creative use of FX pedals.
As well as being the founder, member
and part of the songwriting team of Skunk Anansie, Ace has also been producing records
since 2001 and has worked on over 40 records with many European bands with varied
musical styles.
From 2005 through 2008, Ace taught the live performance and A&R modules at the
acclaimed Brighton Institute of Modern Music where he was a module leader and lead
assessor. He continues to guest teach workshops internationally and has an MA in music
education from London Middlesex University.

ABOUT SKUNK ANANSIE
Rising from the mean streets of London in the early part of 1994, Skunk Anansie went on
to become one of the biggest rock bands in Britain and Europe. The group played their
first gig at London's Splash club in 1994 and within a year were voted Best New British
Band by the readers of Kerrang! Magazine.
A multi-racial band with a sound that collides brooding, funky beats with edgy lyrics,
driving riffs and fragile ballads, Skunk Anansie broke barriers from the start. In the ‘90s
Skunk Anansie dominated the album charts with Paranoid and Sunburnt (1995), Stoosh
(1995) and Post Orgasmic Chill (1996). They had a succession of hit singles including
the devastating ballads ‘Brazen (Weep)’, ‘Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good)’, and
‘Weak’, where, with her rich, soulful voice Skin seemed to reach deep inside to draw out
powerful emotion.
Throughout the 1990s, the band sold over 5 million records and completed 7 sold-out
world tours, touring with such acts as U2, Aerosmith, Lenny Kravitz, Veruca Salt, and
Rammstein. Skunk Anansie headlined Glastonbury festival, performed with Pavarotti for
the Dalai Lama, and appeared in Nelson Mandela 80th Birthday "Gift to the nation" shows.
Since reforming in 2009, the band has released 4 new successful LPs: Smashes and Trashes (2009) Wonderlustre (2010), Black Traffic (2012), and Acoustic Live In London (2013) and did a sell-out European tour.
In their DVD, 'An Acoustic Skunk Anansie - Live In London', the quartet serve up beautifully
re-imagined versions of some of their best-loved songs before an enrapt audience of 900
fans. An intimate portrait of a band boldly toying with convention and their own illustrious
history, it's a timely reminder that, even as Skunk Anansie approach their 20th anniversary
as a band, the Londoners retain the power to provoke and surprise.

ERICA BAUM
Artist (auction Lot # 10)
Over the past 20 years, in nearly a dozen series, Erica Baum has photographed worlds,
world fragments and photographs in the places she has found them - on blackboards,
in library card catalogues, in books, in newspapers and elsewhere. Because worlds and
photographs also convey meaning, Baum’s microcosms often harbour macrocosmic
implications. Her understated photographs (rarely exceeding 20 by 20 inches) are about
what language is about: matters of human concern from the ineffable to the mundane,
from the solemn to the absurd.
Erica Baum was born in 1961 in New York City where she studied with fellow students J.M.
Basquiat and Zoe Leonard. She has had nearly 20 solo exhibitions in USA and Europe and
has had more than 60 group shows. Her career accelerated in 2008 when she joined the
New York Gallery Bureau. As a sign of her still-rising stature, over 100 of her works were
featured in the 2012 São Paolo Bienal. Erica Baum had five solo shows this year. Her most
recent shows were in Paris and Berlin.

CHRISTIAN GONZENBACH
Artist (auction Lot # 7)
Christian Gonzenbach explores the fine line between the ordinary and the extraordinary,
the normal and the bizarre. The young Swiss artist questions the world as we know it,
seeking for the very point where meaning is lost and switches into absurdity, strangeness
or poetry.
His new series of ceramic sculptures draws from masterpieces of the history of sculpture.
The classical bust of Hercules or Jupiter becomes a mass whose outlines seem to escape
any logic, yet born of a basic change of perspective: the inversion of the relief whose
hollows become volumes and vice versa. It is by playing with the empty and the full that
a new plastic appears. A mutant being and its smooth surface hit by light, as would a
bubble of mercury, thus providing an uncanny vision.
Drawing on science, arts or the banality of everyday life, Christian Gonzenbach works in
constant experimentation and without limits to cross over disciplines. Diverting the object
of its function or its primary state, the artist transforms it by opening a new dimension
that disturbs the viewer's perception of reality.
With a sense of humour ranging from childlike innocence to cruel darkness, Christian
Gonzenbach transmutes the envelope of things, playing on the material, scale, and sense,
both physically and semantically. He creates a new link between the appearance and
the essence of the object, reinventing what it is, what it evokes, what it really is, and in
between, all that it could have been.
Christian Gonzenbach was born in 1975 and he lives and works in Geneva, Switzerland. He
studied at the HEAD Haute Ecole d'Art & de Design, Geneva and received his MFA from
the Chelsea College, London. Christian Gonzenbach holds 10 to 15 exhibitions annually
across Switzerland, France and abroad. Most recently, Gonzenbach was the winner of
the international sculpture competition for Chevrolet Centennial Artwork. In winning
this competition, he was commissioned to build a 5 meters high inverted bust of Louis
Chevrolet made out of mirror-polished stainless steel monument and weighing over 8
tons. This sculpture was unveiled and inaugurated in the Swiss city of La Chaux-de-Fonds,
hometown of Louis Chevrolet, in October 2013.

LOUISE LAWLER
Artist (auction Lot # 2)
Born in 1947 in Bronxville, New York, Louise Lawler is an artist and photographer whose
work focuses on presentation and marketing of artwork. Much of this consists of
photographs of other people's artwork and the context in which it is viewed. Along with
photography, Lawler has created conceptual and installation art. Some of her works are
ephemeral and explore the passing of time while others are expressly political.
Lawler developed her individual style during the early 1980s and her 1984 photographs
of twentieth-century collectors Burton and Emily Tremaine's Connecticut home further
defined her approach. She manipulated the focus and the view finder to demonstrate how
an artwork is determined by the paradigms of the art world. Lawler's photograph titled
Monogram Arranged by Mr. and Mrs. Burton Tremaine, New York City 1984, a photograph
of a perfectly made bed with Jasper John's famous "White Flag" hanging above it, sold at
an auction in New York in 2004 for $125,600.
Lawler's latest solo exhibition was at the Museum Ludwig, Cologne in 2013. Pieces of her
artwork are in the collections of major art museums including Museum of Modern Art,
the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Guggenheim Museum, Museum of Fine Arts in
Boston, and Tate Britain in London.
www.blondeau.ch/exhibitions/17/
DAVID NOONAN
Artist (auction Lot # 3)
Since emerging in the early 2000s, Noonan has developed an international reputation
for works that incorporate photographic imagery of costumed performers, groups
of figures from utopian collectives, and other elements of theater and stagecraft in
collaged, painterly, or sculptural formats. In doing so, he encourages us to consider
how documentary images of events and happenings might be transformed into fiction,
while suggesting the significant roles that theatricality and performance have played in
our recent cultural history. Noonan’s process of creating these works gives the images
a shadowy sense of mystery, while the layering of the figurative and abstract imagery
creates a tension between abstraction and representation.
Born in 1969 in Ballarat, Australia, David Noonan lives and works in London. His work
has been presented in solo exhibitions at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art,
Melbourne, Australia (2009), Chisenhale Gallery, London (2008), the Palais de Tokyo, Paris
(2007). Noonan has participated in group exhibitions internationally in very important
locations.
