WeaskedAarontobottlehisKeynotemojosothatotherscouldbenefitfromit.Here,10tipsformakinganeffectiveslidedeck,splitintotwoparts:thebig,overarchinggoals,andthelittletipsandtricksthatmakeyourpresentationsing.

Thinkaboutyourslideslast.Buildingyourslidesshouldbethetailendofdevelopingyourpresentation.Thinkaboutyourmainmessage,structureitssupportingpoints,practiceitandtimeitandthenstartthinkingaboutyourslides.Thepresentationneedstostandonitsowntheslidesarejustsomethingyoulayeroverittoenhancethelistenerexperience.Toooften,Iseeslidedecksthatfeelmorelikepresenternotes,butIthinkitsfarmoreeffectivewhentheslidesarefortheaudiencetogivethemavisualexperiencethataddstothewords..
