• There are more than 6000 ship calls in Israel every year

• There are 6 international commercial ports in Israel

• The national designated authorities for ISPS purposes are:

• IASP –Israeli Administration of Shipping & Ports

• IP -Israeli Police Force

• ISA -Israeli Security Agency

• IN -Israeli Navy

Summary

• ISPS code implementation is highly prioritized in Israel.

• International cooperation of ISPS matters is essential.

• Missions of considerable importance were carried out

through the SAFEMED others are still pending

• Hence the extension of the SAFEMED project, is of

paramount importance for the State of ISRAEL
