Cassandra Slade of the Assets Team took on the
project of switching out the Curriculum, Instruction and
Accountability(CIA) Department devices to the new
Lenovo Yoga 460 that mirrors the current equipment that
is being currently delivered to district campuses. This
exchange of devices will be instrumental in allowing CIA
to shape the instruction and curriculum for our district.
David Rodriguez and Geoffrey Brown came by to lend
a hand during one of the busier sessions.

Technician Provides Printing Solution
Sustainability Team
Posted by: Frank Adian, Technology Service Center Manager January 12, 2017
Crystal Gilbert assisted the occupational therapist, Sue Ann Hill
at Matzke Elementary school with setting up an alternative for
printing, showing her how to connect her laptop directly to the
printer, then adding the printer. She was not able to get on the
network as they are contracting with CFISD. She will be able
to use this workaround at all the schools she visits.
Crystal can be seen here at Matzke Elementary school
assisting Sue Ann with the set up.
Sue Ann was most appreciative and gifted a Starbucks coffee!

set as the default.

Julia Gibson of the Technology Service
Center spends each and every day
ensuring customers get the best
possible experience with the technology
on their campuses. Because of her can-
do attitude and phenomenal work ethic,
she is consistently able to take care of
her campuses, find time to help with
special projects, and assist others when
the opportunity presents itself.
Julia is always willing to jump in with a
bucket of water to put out fires, even
when they crop up outside the scope of
her daily responsibilities. The Service
Center is extremely lucky to have her on
our team!
On Sunday January 15th I cheered on the runners that participated in
the 2017 Houston marathon. There were many runners from CFISD.
As I watched the runners it made me reflect on all of the hard work
and sacrifice these runners have done to prepare for the race. When
I saw runners that were in pain and looked like they could not go any
farther, they some how found the strength to continue. Their goal
was to complete the race and they did not let anything stop them.
