Solenoid Valve Cabinet - SVC
A SVC is designed to suit customers’ requirements as it houses both the
hydraulic and the electrical section.
Control signals are received from the control switches to activate the
solenoid valves to control the direction of oil flow to each actuator.
The electrical section is designed with IP44 protection class. It can also be
build with the PLC remote I/Os and other system processing capability.
SVC range:

The purpose of the VFM is to provide the
feedback of the valve position by measuring
the volume of oil in the actuator.
Components
Throttle valves are used to control the
travelling speed of the valve.
The pressure switch is used for on/off valve
feedback indication.
It is a low cost mechanical pressure switch with
high overpressure resistance and a long
working life under harsh conditions.
It operates at a pressure setting of 15/100
bars.
It is used for directing and stopping flow at
any point in a hydraulic system.
Types of hydraulic solenoid valves:
- 4/2 way, detent type, double coil (I.S &
non-I.S)
- 4/2 way, spring return, single coil (I.S
& non-I.S)

Volumetric Flow Meter
Manifold arrangement for the control of hydraulic actuators is designed in modular
blocks.
- 4-station arrangement
- 6-station arrangement
- Maximum of 30-station per column
The connection between each modular block is by adaptor plates for easy
installation coupled with reliable sealing that prevents leakages.
Each control station consists of 2 throttle valves. It is used to
- control the travelling speed of the valve
- isolate the control station during servicing of that station without the need
to shut down the entire system.

- pressure guage (for main pressure reading)
- by-pass valve (closed during normal operation, open during system
commissioning or to bleed air in the hydraulic system)

Manifold Arrangement
Volumetric Flow Meter – VFM
The VFM is a precision gear motor with a visual display indicating the valve
position by measuring the oil volume in the actuator.
It is integrated with a gear type volume counter and visual indicator.
- The visual indicator is equipped with 2 end stopper to limit the arrow
pointer for adjustments from fully open to fully close.
The gear box for each application achieves a local pointer movement
indication of 210° for valve positioning.
Types of VFM:
- VFM-E: Visual + Electrical open/close
indication (on/off function)
- VFM-C: Visual + Electrical analog -
potentiometer (modulating function)
The turning movement of the magnetic drive is
integrated with an indicator to:
- recognize the flow direction of the
hydraulic oil
- act as a leak indicator

Hydraulic Power Unit - HPU
The HPU is used to generate the required pressure to operate the whole
actuation system.
It is designed for easy access to internal components so that repairs and
testing can be done efficiently. It is compact and built on a standard modular
platform.
In the event of a power failure, a backup pressure from the accumulator will
support the whole valve system. Thus, allowing the operation of the ships’
critical valves.

Pneumatic Actuator - PA
DMP series Pneumatic Actuators uses the Scotch-Yoke technology. This
technology is well known to produce very high torque at both end positions.

The EA has a robust and compact construction that provides a high output
torque – 9000Nm. It has hard anodized aluminium housing with external power
coating for severe industrial environment.
The enclosure uses radial seals & O-rings that provide protection to waterproof
IP67 (Nema 4&6) and optional watertight IP68. The Reliable Mechanical Toque
sensing system provides safe operation in overload conditions.
Various local position control options are available to provide easy
commissioning and operation in the field. The large window and the presence
of an indicator give superior position indication from a distance.

The Air Bubbling Sensor is a pneumatic gauge designed to measure the liquid
level of tank with electric output. It is a pneumatic-electrical type transmitter.
It is based on the principle of “bubbling” that is well known for its sturdiness and
reliability. A fixed flow of air is passed through a tube with an opening below the
surface of the liquid level. Pressure in the tube is proportional to the depth (and
density) of the liquid over the outlet of the tube. Pressure signal is then either
displayed through pressure gauge with level scale or converted to electrical
signal (mV or 4-20mA) through a pressure transmitter.
Air Bubbling Sensor
It consists of three main parts:
• An air modulator, designed to detect pressure generated by the liquid
height when compressed air is injected into the tank pipe
• A PCB, converts the measured pressure into an mV or a 4-20mA signal
• An air purge, directly mounted on top of the tank, including a non-return
valve
It is suitable for measuring the level of sewage, drainage water, sewage
sludge and water with large quantities of suspended solids. It is a good
choice for classified “Hazardous Areas”. Due to of its purge function, this
transmitter is considered as inherently “self-cleaning”. Air bubbling
transmitter is highly recommended for liquid level measurement for those
applications where ultrasonic, float or microwave techniques have proved
undependable.
The compressed air can be supplied from the main air utility via a reducing
valve or by using a miniature compressor.

Radar Type Sensor
DMH carries two kinds of radar type sensors.
The VEGAFLEX 66 is a level sensor for measurement of liquids and bulk solids at
high pressures and temperatures. It delivers reliable and high precision
measured values unaffected by ambient influences such as dust, steam, build-up
and condensation.
The VEGAPULS SR 68 is a radar sensor for continuous measurement of bulk
solids even under difficult process conditions. It is particularly suitable for level
measurement in high silos and large bunkers.
