Daily Maintenance

Daily maintenance has four tasks: RNC environment check OMM server status check RNC MO( Managed Object ) status check RNC alarm audit

Daily Maintenance—RNC environment check

Equipment Room Temperature

Recommended temperature: 15ºC to 30ºC. Humidity

Recommended humidity: 40% to 65%. Security

The burglarproof net, door and window are intact. Cleanness

The equipment room is tidy and clean without distinct dust.

Daily Maintenance—OMM server status check

OMM client can login normally. Performance data can be exported normally. System configuration data backup policy running normally.

OMM client can login normally. From client PC run ‘run-client’ icon and try to login.

Performance data can be exported normally. Open PM GUI first.

Performance data can be exported normally. In PM GUI, open ‘Performance Data Query’.

In CM GUI, select ‘RNC Managed Element’ MO.

Select ‘Configuration Data Export Tool’ item.

In the pop up dialog has 6 pages. Click ‘Select All’ for each page.

Select save directory and wait few minutes.

Monthly maintenance have two tasks OMM server disk space check. NTP status check.

Delete old configuration data stored in OMM ../ums-svr\backup\sysmanager folder.

Use df –k to confirm system disk space.

Check RNC TOD time is the same with OMM server.

Check OMM server TOD time is the same with TOD source. In OMM server GUI, from ‘System’ menu select

‘Show System Time’ item.

Compare the result with TOD source. Any time shift ask next level support.

Check RNC TOD time is the same with OMM server. Double click ‘RNC Ground Resource Management’ MO

In the right view click ‘Synchronize NE’s Clock’ icon.
