Church Announcements:

This morning we have the privilege to partake of the Lord’s Supper. We want to remind all of our guests who are not members of this congregation that they are welcome to participate at the table with us. We ask that you fill out the communion card found in the bulletin, stating you are a professing member in good standing of an evangelical Church and you believe in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation. When you are finished, place the card in the offering receptacle. May the Lord cause our faith to grow and mature as we partake together.

Pastor Kevin will be at Ripon Cafe this Thursday from 1:00-3:00 pm. Feel free to stop by!

Membership Class: The membership class will be starting next Sunday, October 9th. The class will take place following the morning service and will meet for 5-6 weeks. If you desire to become a member of Zion or simply learn more about the church, please sign up today.

The Elder District 2 luncheon will be next Sunday, October 9th. If you are a member of District 2 you should have received an invite in the mail telling you what to bring. If you have not already done so, please remember to RSVP. Hope to see you all there!

The Church Leadership class will start on Wednesday, October 19th at 7:00 pm. If you plan to attend, please sign up on the sheet on the book table.

We will be hosting a Reformation Conference on Saturday, October 29th, from 10 am to noon. This year’s speakers will be Pastor Kevin and Dr. Fritz Harms. They will be speaking on a couple of the lesser-known figures of the Protestant Reformation (William Farel and Philip Melanchthon). If you are planning on attending, please sign up on the sheet that is on the book table.

Pastor Angelo and Trista would like to invite the Young adults to their home tonight after the evening service. Hope you can make it!

Youth Group will meet at the church this Wednesday at 6:30 for La-ser Tag. We will be going to Laser Quest in Modesto. If you're part of the Zion youth group, there is no cost.

GEMS night out at Boomers: On Thursday, October 6, we invite you to join all of the area Gems and Cadets for a special night at Boom-ers. They are offering unlimited attractions for only $13. ZION FISHING TRIP: A fishing trip is being planned for Saturday, October 22nd. We would like to invite members of the congregation to take part! There are 27 spots available on the boat, so if you are interested, please sign up on the table in the fellowship hall. For additional details, please talk to Harry Van’t Voort.

FALL HARVEST FESTIVAL: Zion will hold a Fall Harvest Festival on Friday, October 28th. This w ill be a great opportunity for our church members to come together for a time of fellowship and fun. We looking for volunteers! I f you have ideas or are w illing to help, there is a sign-up sheet on table in the fellowship hall.

Items for the bulletin are due Wednesday by 6:00 p.m.

Mihai and Lidia Corcea, who have just begun to minister among Eastern Orthodox people and are planting the Evangelical Reformed Church of Bucharest. 2) Pray that the Lord would bless the outreach efforts towards the Eastern Orthodox people. 3) Pray that God would provide for the 2017 financial needs of the mission work.

Ripon Christian School Announcements:

The Ripon Christian Music Department will present its annual Fall Festival of Music on Tuesday, October 11 at 7:00 pm in the Performing Arts Center. The concert will feature all high school instrumental and vocal groups as well as the middle school band and choir. Come for an evening of celebration, joy, and worship as we start off our concert season.

Dear Ripon Christian Supporting Churches, On Saturday October 8th, Ripon Christian FFA will be hosting an outdoor movie night featuring the movie Minions to fund raise for their trip to National FFA Convention. Doors will open at 6:00 PM at the new athletic stadium and the Movie will begin at 7:00 PM on the RC Softball Field. Tickets for the movie will be sold for $5 by FFA members and in the High School Office, or $7 at the entrance on October 8. Also note that kids under the age of 5 are free. Snacks will be on sale at the concession stand, and guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on. As Ripon Christian supporting churches, the Ripon Christian FFA Chapter would greatly appreciate if you could put in a bulletin announcement for this event. We truly appreciate your support!
