In orer to sen an receive email, the Zimbra 9!A m"st be con(ig"re in

6$ %ith both A an 9J recors. or sening mail, the 9!A "ses 6$ to

resolve hostnames an email-ro"ting in(ormation. !o receive mail, the 9J

recor m"st be con(ig"re correctly to ro"te the message to the mail server.

"ring the installation process, Zimbra Collaboration chec's to see i( yo"

have an 9J recor correctly con(ig"re. I( it is not, an error is isplayes"ggesting that the omain name have an 9J recor con(ig"re in 6$.

*o" m"st con(ig"re a relay host i( yo" o not enable 6$. A(ter Zimbra

Collaboration is installe, go to the Global Settings-)'tab on theaministration console an "nchec' Enable D#S loo/ups. ?nter the relay 9!Aaress to "se (or eternal elivery.

Note: -ven if a relay host is configured, an M record is still re/uired if the

Zimbra "ollaboration server is going to receive email from the nternet.
