What eutrophication is• Nowadays more and more environmental problems of water
becoming deeply severe, eutrophication has serious impacts on water quality safety and production safety.
• Eutrophication (eutrophication) is under the influence of human activity, nitrogen, phosphorus and other nutrients into a large number of lakes, estuaries, bays and other slow-flow water bodies, causing algae and other plankton multiply rapidly, decline in dissolved oxygen, water quality deterioration of mass mortality of fish and other biological phenomena. This phenomenon occurs in rivers and lakes known as blooms, called red tides occur in the ocean.
Some pictures are as follow:
Indexes: Nitrogen content of more than 0.2-0.3ppm, biochemical oxygen demand greater than 10ppm, phosphorus content greater than 0.01-0.02ppm, pH value of 7-9 in the number of bacteria per milliliter of water more than 100,000, the number of algae characterized by chlorophyll - a concentration greater than 10μmg / L.
Why to chose sediments and different water columns
• Nitrogen and phosphorus from the water pollution of China's current situations, phosphorus is the key cause of water eutrophication substances.
• Phosphorus input from a variety of ways to view, now the most polluted non-point source pollution in rural areas of phosphorus is typical. They enter the water with surface runoff, causing eutrophication ,which is one of the culprits.
Choose different water columns
• In different water layers, the presence of P in the form and the main types are different, and thus the impact of eutrophication is different. The main content is to identify major forms.
Choose sediments
• Sediment P release is also an important cause of eutrophication, the main research is to identify the main form of phosphorus release.
Then find out how the relationship between the two results.
Experimental methods
Majority of the monitoring indicators:
• TP/DP/DIP/PP/DUP
• PP=TP-DP• DUP=DP-DRP

Future plan
• Specific experiments as soon as possible• Access to the relevant English literature• Learning-related data processing software
