ZETA PREMATURITY AWARENESS PROGRAM (ZPAP)

Launched in November 2003, the national ZPAP campaign is a powerful, month-long grassroots effort that promotes the MOD mission and focuses on prematurity awareness to be shared at houses of worship through announcements and faith-based programs.

PROGRAM REFINEMENT & CONSTANTS In response to member suggestions, the ZPAP Toolkit’s pages were reduced and resources updated.

Qualifying and earning Z-HOPE points was refined in 2015 to allow chapters and auxiliaries to choose House of Worships sites from an expanded list of facilities and locations.

Introduced single day and one (1) week of worship-based events at the same house of worship to increase the numbers of opportunities to host ZPAP events.

Reinforced the importance of completing the official Z-HOPE ZPAP Reporting Form for each site/event and submitting it to respective state Z-HOPE coordinators by the stated deadline to earn Z-HOPE points for up to five (5) ZPAP events.

Support the “Go Green” efforts in Houses of Worship that no longer provide printed programs during services, official ZPAP electronic graphics and banners were created and made available.

Included and revised the toolkit page that lists tips and suggestions to assist in planning for Undergraduates, Graduates, and Auxiliaries.

Introduced the 2015 ZPAP Regional Challenge – A friendly, internal head-to-head competition within Zeta’s regions to share the prematurity message with their constituents.

Since 2013, the Zeta Hand Fans promotion have been offered by MOD allowing the distributon of more than 20,000 hand fans to requesting

chapters across the globe.

RECOMMENDATIONS & GROWTH EDGES

Establish an electronic method of submitting Z-HOPE ZPAP reports for ease of data collection and synthesis.

Even with program refinements, Zeta still has the opportunity to reach a higher number of congregations in the coming years.

Find ways to increase participation and reporting with Zeta chapters and auxiliaries who have little to no participation with ZPAP.
