Why choose Zeta Solar?Illuminating bus shelters at night increases pas-senger security and the perception of safety forpublic transport users. Choosing a solar optionmeans instant installation, no traffic disruptionand eliminates the cost and delays associatedwith traditional grid connection.

Solar lighting also eliminates the on-going energy costscurrently required for mains connected lighting, as well asreducing the Co2 footprint.

Zeta Solar is the UK Market Leader in Solar Powered LEDShelter Lighting with over 4,500 installations nationwide.

Most shelter manufacturers are now offering a solar lightingoption and Zeta is the supplier of choice for those whorequire an elegant and practical solution which is both costeffective and reliable.

Solar powered LED lighting systems from Zeta give LocalAuthorities, Councils and Street Furniture Manufacturersthe ability to install illuminated shelters wherever they areneeded, including remote areas where mains electricitygrid connection is impractical due to cost or location.

System DesignPatented, vandal resistant, flexible solar panels are at-tached to the roof of the shelter which harness the sun’senergy throughout the day, this energy is stored by thelong-life AGM batteries. At dusk the innovative EnergyManagement System (EMS) controller releases the storedenergy and uses it to power high intensity Light EmittingDiodes (LED’s).

The system maintains a constant low level of illuminationuntil a passenger enters the shelter and activates the builtin Passive Infra Red technology (PIR). The light levels willthen gently increase and remain fully activated until thepassenger has vacated the immediate area.

This clever design releases no emissions and saves energywhilst not compromising the comfort or security of publictransport users.

Zeta Solar Shelter kits now incorporate the new Zeta 96LED Array for improved lighting.

Zeta STOP LIGHT

Solar bus stop illumination is an innovative, yet cost effective way to improvepassenger services. The addition of lighting to bus stops and timetablesprovides a greater sense of safety for public transport users and makesessential schedules easier to read during evening hours.

As many local authorities have found, grid connection for bus stop lighting caninvolve a long wait and significant expense. Mains electricity is not even anoption for many remote or rural areas.

Solar lighting is the perfect solution to combat these problems, powered by arenewable and sustainable energy source it is a reliable and cost effectivealternative to mains powered electricity.

The Zeta STOP LIGHT is a robust, vandal resistant ‘head unit’ which fits neatly to the top of the bus stop pole. This selfcontained unit houses the solar panel (PV), the innovative Energy Management System, batteries and LED lighting.

Zeta has improved their design by adding the latest LED Blade array technology, providing superior luminous efficiency, durability and increased overall brightness.
