HOMOGENEOUS CONSTRUCTIONUpofl oor Zero has a homogeneous and extremely fl exible

construction that facilitates installation and enables the fl ooring

to be easily fi tted into fl oor drains and coved on to walls. The

seams are welded using Upofl oor´s PVC free welding rod,

resulting in a fl oor that is water tight, hygienic and easy to

maintain.

UNIQUE MATERIALThe Zero fl oors are made from Enomer®, a unique

and innovative fl ooring material developed by

Upofl oor.

Enomer® is made from natural minerals and pure

polymers. The material provides excellent perfor-

mance characteristics, without compromising care

for the environment or human beings.

SUSTAINABLE, GREEN AND CLEAN Upofl oor Zero is a sustainable choice. It is made from

safe raw materials consisting of natural minerals and

clean polymers. Every stage of the manufacturing

process has been designed to be environmental

friendly, according to the ISO 14001 standard.

The material has extremely low VOC s. 100 percent

of the production waste is recycled back into the

product. The fl ooring material can also be burned

and used for energy.HARD WEARING AND CHEMICALRESISTANT Thanks to its material construction and

ionomer surface enhancement, Upofl oor

Zero is extremely durable and resistant to

various chemicals, acids, alkalis and solvents.

The plasticizer free material resists discolora-

tion and doesn´t react with rubber.

EASY TO INSTALLWith its fl exible construction, Upofl oor Zero is

easy to install. The seams are welded using PVC

free Zero welding rods.

The installation is performed using water-based

acrylic dispersion adhesives approved by Upofl oor.

The backing of the fl ooring has been roughened

to maximize adhesion.

EASY TO CLEAN AND MAINTAINZero fl oors off er a durable and hygienic choice

with a low life cycle cost; they are highly economical

from the viewpoints of property owners, users,

maintenance personnel and the environment.

Zero fl oors do not require polishing or dry buffi ng

which means easier cleaning and savings in

maintenance costs.

Zero fl oors ease of maintenance is based on

their high performance ionomer surface rein-

forcement along with excellent scratch resistance

and antistatic properties. As the material contains

no plasticizers, it also features a superior resist-

ance to chemicals and staining and does not

react with rubber.

Zero fl oors are easy to maintain.

• Remove all surface soil, dirt, sand and grit by

vacuuming or dust mopping.

• Scrub the fl oor with a neutral pH detergent

such as; Hilway Direct “Neutral Cleaner” or

equivalent.

• Scrub the fl oor using a micro-fi ber mop or

rotary scrubber (175-350 rpm) with a red

scrubbing pads

• Pick up solution with a wet vacuum, rinse with

clean water, allow fl oor to dry.

SAFE Due to their mineral based Enomer® material,

the Upofloor Zero floors do not support

combustion in fire situations and do not

generate dangerous combustion gases, such

as hydrogen chloride or hydrogen cyanide.

Thanks to their slight embossing, they provide

good slip-resistance.

The material does not act as a substrate for

bacterial growth.

Since the start in the 1950’s, Upofloor has revolutionized our view of traditional public space flooring – focusing on creating smart flooring materials that are environmentally

sound, strong and easy to maintain.

Upofloor was founded in the small town of Nokia in western

Finland, one of the most entrepreneurial and innovative

centers of Europe. It was here that the Nokia Group started its

operations in the 19th century as a small paper mill, taking its

name from the city. The innovative spirit that took the Nokia

telecom brand to worldwide success has made a strong mark

on the city, and has attracted a number of innovative companies

over the decades. One of these is Upofloor, which was founded

in Nokia’s old paper mill and which was also owned for a

period by the Nokia Group.

Upofloor’s founding vision was to offer the Finnish market an

innovative product that was catching on around the world,

i.e. resilient vinyl flooring. Production expanded in 1960’s to

include public space´s resilient sheet floorings and flexible

vinyl floorings for domestic use. Meanwhile, a growing demand

from other countries resulted in continuously expanding

exports.

Today, Upofloor has successfully produced, marketed and

installed millions of square feet of floorings all around the

world.

Focus on environmentally sound floorings

Still, Upofloor’s product development activities are based in

the pioneering town of Nokia. Focus is on designing innovative

PVC-free, environmentally sound floorings that are durable and

easy to maintain.

The first PVC-free flooring was launched already in 2004. Since

then, Upofloor has become a pioneer in PVC-free floorings,

aiming to continuously expand its offerings in design-driven,

technologically advanced and sustainable floorings. Upofloor

has also been a leading quartz tile manufacturer for over 60

years, providing uniquely designed flooring to many types of
