CITUS is software development company that has been member of Development Agency Zagreb-Technology Park for long time. From the beginning company vision and mission has been based on innovative and creative process of developing new ICT products. This process is hard and sometimes does not bring wanted results, but there is no other alternative but to find the way how to be more successful in bringing ideas to the reality and (possibly) to create commercial product that has “wau” effect. Recently CITUS has been awarded co-funding by BICRO and Technology Park Varazdin to implement proof-of-concept project that extends existing (and already awarded) project Conference@Net. The name of project is Conference@Net Kinect and it’s goal is to implement new way of manipulation with computer user interface – by using gestures made by body/hands/finger. We will speak about the creative process of “bringing the idea to the table”, articulating it so this new (and because of that possible not so understandable) idea to the potential partners/investors and the role of City of Zagreb and supporting institutions like Development Agency Zagreb, Technology Park Varazdin and BICRO. How to finance - history

• 2000. Bank Loan „subsidized” by Croatian Government – “small interest of 8%”– 7 years / 2 years grace period– Requested mortgage / private real estate, Guaranty

from Government agency and personal IOU

– Own investment of 50%– Return in full after we successfully developed, sold

our product and put it to end-of life
