Yule fact Similarities to Christmas

1. There are 12 nights of Yule 20th December till the 31st December.

There are 12 days of Christmas. 25th December till the 5th January.

2. Their 12 days celebrated only the new year.

Our 12 days celebrate Christmas and New Year.

3. Red Thor rode past in his sled which is pulled by magical goats

Santa rides on a sleigh which is pulled by magical reindeers.

4. Goats had bells that would ring to tell children they were coming.

Reindeers have bells on them that ring to let children know they are coming.

5. The presents were delivered through the chimney.

Santa entered through the chimney.

6. The children that were loyal to him were the only one that got presents. Those that were not loyal got coal.

Only the good children get presents, the naughty ones get coal.

7. Their Christmas desert was a yule log. Our Christmas desert is a Christmas pudding.

8. Went into the woods to cut a fir tree to burn.
