Transcript of YPN Sponsorship Prospectus 2015

The Young Professionals Network Northern Territory Division (YPN – NT) is excited to invite you and

your organisation to become an official sponsor for 2015.

YPN – NT is a knowledge sharing network that provides opportunities for young and ‘young at heart’

Territorians to meet, exchange ideas and enhance their career. YPN – NT offers opportunities to

young professionals to connect while furthering their careers through professional development and

networking events. YPN-NT is often the first ‘port of call’ for young professionals new to the

Northern Territory (NT), and is just as popular with locals who are keen to expand their reach and

networks.

YPN – NT is a valuable tool in connecting young professionals to likeminded government and

business leaders, locally, nationally and internationally. As the only multi-industry networking group

local to the NT, having a presence at our events increases the awareness of your brand to an

influential and engaged audience – our members.

Our team has developed tailored sponsorship opportunities available for the 2015 calendar year

(one year from sponsorship commencement), offering a four-tiered program that sees your business

as an official sponsor of YPN – NT.

Platinum Sponsor (only 1 available) - $5,000

Gold Sponsor (3 available) - $2,000

Silver Sponsor - $1,000

Bronze Sponsor - $500

Your generous sponsorship would be highlighted as described in the following packages and you and

any other representatives of your organisation would be most welcome to attend our events so that

we could thank you personally for your support.

We look forward to working collaboratively with your team to develop a mutually beneficial

sponsorship of our Network and welcome your feedback to our proposal.

Thank you for your support of the Young Professionals Network NT.

Yours Sincerely,

Sonia Mu

WHAT IS THE YOUNG

PROFESSIONALS NETWORK?

The Young Professionals Network Northern

Territory (YPN – NT) is a knowledge-sharing

network that provides a forum for young

professionals in the Territory to meet,

exchange their ideas and enhance their career.

Through our events, YPN – NT enables young

professionals to network across a broad range

of professions and industries, access

professional development opportunities and

make connections with business and

community leaders in the NT. YPN – NT is a

sub-committee of the Institute of Public

Administration Australia NT Division.

HISTORY WHAT IS THE YOUNG

PROFESSIONALS

The Northern Territory’s Young Professionals

Network division was officially launched in July

2005 by the Honourable Paul Henderson. Its

formulation has been the result of a

recognised need for a networking association

provided for young professionals within the

Northern Territory. Since its inception YPN –

NT has continued to develop its broad

membership base, providing career enhancing

opportunities to our young professional

members.

COMMUNITY GOALS & INITIATIVES

Since the Young Professionals Network was re-established in November 2013, our organisation has

played an active role in improving the careers of young professionals across the NT. This year YPN is

committed to supporting the Rejoice and Salvation in Trinity Services Orphanage in Nepal, to

improve the quality of care, education and life opportunities of Nepalese children. YPN believes that

we can reduce the number of Nepalese orphans living in poverty and save those at risk of

exploitation through our continuous support and donation.

Our mission is to provide a loving and supportive home, to create better life opportunities and to

break the cycle of poverty by providing in the areas of:

Education – paying for school books, excursions fees and school fees

Food – providing daily nutritious food to enable children to focus on learning

Clothing – includes school uniforms and basic clothing

Medical – includes doctor visits, vaccinations and medications

Training – skill based technical training and to provide the necessary tools for children to be

self-reliant in the outside world

Community – to assist in rural farming projects and initiatives

At a local level, YPN supports Foodbank NT, a not for profit organisation with a mission to eliminate

hunger in our community. FoodBank NT is the largest hunger relief organisation in the Northern

Territory and this year YPN will aim to donate over 2,000 cans and non-perishable items to their

cause through our ongoing food drives at our events throughout the year.

We also welcome the opportunity for sponsors to contribute and assist in YPN’s community

initiatives and recommend areas where we can work together to make a difference to the NT

community.

YPN OCTOBER BUSINESS MONTH SPEED NETWORKING

The Young Professionals Network created “YPN

Fridays” to be a regular platform for young

professionals in the NT to meet new people and

network in a social setting. Since its launch, YPN

Fridays has seen huge success in bringing together

young professionals to interact, exchange ideas and

engage with business leaders in the NT. Our YPN

Fridays events are free and attract an average of 80

people at each event.

In March 2014, YPN partnered with ANZ Bank to host a

Wealth Creation and Investment Seminar at the Hilton

Hotel. Over 70 young professionals attended the event

with special guest speakers from ANZ and Damien

Moriarty (Killarney Homes). The event was very

successful and provided attendees with the tools and

tips to managing their wealth.

During October Business Month, YPN hosted a Speed

Networking Event held at Char Restaurant. Over 50

young professionals, local business owners and

business leaders attended the event. Attendees were

able to interact, meet and promote themselves

throughout the night. YPN received great feedback

from attendees who said “it was a great event to

quickly develop new contacts” and that they “really

enjoyed it and made new friends”.

YPN SUNSET HARBOUR CRUISE

YPN&YEA ARABIAN NIGHTS BALL

In July, YPN kicked off the start of the dry season with

a Sunset Harbour Cruise with Darwin Harbour Cruises.

The event saw 60 young professionals network,

interact and enjoy the NT’s infamous sunset on the

water.

The Young Professionals partnered with Young

Engineers Australia – NT Division to present our

Arabian Nights Ball. With 200 young professionals,

students and business leaders in attendance, the

opportunities to network, interact and enjoy the night

were limitless. Belly dancers, fire twirlers and a photo

booth were some of the entertainment for the night.

Photos from this event have amazingly reached 5,000+

views as everyone remembers the Arabian Nights Ball

as a great and fun night.

“One thing I enjoy about YPN is being able to talk to people who are at the same professional level

as me in life. Being a member of YPN has expanded my networks and also improved my confidence. I

would recommend YPN to all young professional as there is so much to gain.”

YPN – NT provides ideal sponsorship opportunities for organisations with a focus across all

professional industries and interest groups. Exposure at YPN – NT events and a close association

promote and profile your organisation to the young professionals and future leaders of the Northern

Territory.

YPN – NT would be happy to discuss any sponsorship opportunities that will benefit your

organisation and our members.

There are several ways of providing support or sponsorship to YPN – NT in 2015:

Financial Sponsorship

This enables YPN – NT to finance our 2015 events and ensure we are able to offer and host these

events for our members and the NT community.

Value Added Sponsorship

YPN – NT are committed to creating value for our members and also supporting local businesses in

the Territory. To facilitate this goal, YPN – NT would like to create a relationship with your

organisation to promote your brand and add value to YPN membership by offering YPN members

deals and discounts on your products and/or services.

In-Kind Sponsorship

Receiving goodies at events is always one of the highlights of an event for attendees but also a cost

effective way to get your brand name known and recognised. YPN – NT would like to provide your

organisation an opportunity to provide items that will enhance attendee’s experience at YPN – NT

events. Some examples include notepads and pens.

Event Partnership

Partner with YPN – NT and provide presenters, venue and catering for events that will not only

benefit your organisation but also our members and associates.

Some of the sponsorship opportunities are outlined in this prospectus, but we would welcome any

other suggestions you may have to support the Young Professionals Network in 2015.

WHY SPONSOR?

Sponsorship of YPN – NT in 2015 is a powerful way to promote your organisation to young professionals and the larger Northern Territory community. Following are key assets and drivers for sponsors: Create, Develop and Enhance Credibility

Since its establishment, YPN – NT has developed a strong and credible brand that resonates with a driven, educated, skilled and professional audience. YPN sponsors have the opportunity to closely align themselves with this brand and leverage its credibility with their own businesses.

Media Exposure

YPN – NT has their own marketing efforts to ensure

that YPN events are well attended and successful. In

sponsoring the Young Professionals Network you will

receive the benefits of being promoted and marketed

directly to our 700+ members and associates. YPN –

NT has also established close relationships with local

print media and utilise these to promote events. This

will provide your business with exposure and visibility

in the young professional market and wider NT

community.

website, blog and email marketing campaigns will add

to increase your brand awareness. Being recognised

IN-KIND SPONSORSHIP

Like our members, we’re always keen to ‘do’ more. In line with this ethos, we’ve developed a member benefits

program that offers YPN-NT members access to deals (and discounts) from Northern Territory businesses.

Supporting this aspect of the YPN-NT program allows you to promote your product or service directly to our

members. The Young Professionals Network Membership Program provides a value add to our members and a

new channel for local businesses to access an influential audience.

New to the Membership offering in 2015, the program sees businesses commit a discount or deal to offer to our

members. Below provides some examples of potential discounts:

Discounts on products or services (i.e. 20% off for YPN Members)

2-for-1 deals on products or services

Free initial consultation for services

Birthday specials on products or services (i.e. free product/service on member’s birthday)

Once your in-kind sponsorship has been confirmed, details of the value-added deal and your business logo will be

published on YPN’s website and through YPN’s social media.

All YPN-NT members are issued with a membership card, which can be provided to your staff at point of sale to

prove membership. Each year the design of the card will change to ensure the integrity of the membership

program. YPN will also endeavour to maintain regular contact with our in-kind sponsors to discuss any questions

or issues you may have.

The Young Professionals Network also welcomes your attendance and the opportunity to donate merchandise

(i.e. pens, hats, water bottles) your business may have to distribute to YPN members and associates at our events.

YPN will be hosting numerous events during 2015 that young professionals in the NT will attend therefore this

may be an opportunity to increase your brand’s awareness to this demographic.

EVENT PARTNERSHIPS

In addition to our tiered sponsorship packages, YPN-NT has developed specific event partnership opportunities

for businesses to present alongside our brand.

YPN-NT has previously collaborated with likeminded organisations that can offer our members and associates a

great experience. We have previously partnered with industry leaders such as ANZ Bank, Young Engineers

Australia NT Division and CPA Australia.

In 2015, the Young Professionals Network is committed to partnering with organisations to host events that will

interest and benefit our members and associates.

The Young Professionals Network offers the opportunity for your business to co-host a partnered event with the

Young Professionals Network. By partnering with us, your brand will be marketed to our 700+ members and

associates through a variety of new and traditional channels profiling your organisation and increasing your

brand’s awareness to potential new customers and contacts.

Through our event partnership opportunity, YPN-NT provides a branding experience like no other in the Territory

– working with YPN-NT allows you to target an engaged, connected and enthusiastic audience.

YPN-NT have previously collaborated with partners to host skills workshops (knowledge sharing), seminars and

speaker panels. YPN-NT does not rest on its past success, we’re keen to grow our network just like you and your

business and in doing so, develop a program that works well for both parties.
