The components of our project plan will contain supporting evidence with each subtopic from the research we obtain. Each slide will include a detailed description of the subtopic and how the research we found correlates with the main topic. The combined subtopics and research will result in our twenty five-slide project dealing with the topic of youth sports. For the research, we will use information from Internet sources, media sources and interviews. Interviews will be conducted by questioning college students participating in youth sports, college coaches and other outside sources that are involved in youth sports. The media we use will contain prime examples of how youth sports can be effective and ineffective and many other examples that will draw attention and support the topic. The internet sources provided will help to further understand youth sports in more depth and it will also help us to explain some of the health concerns and injuries associated with youth sports. The roles and responsibilities will be organized so that each student is doing a fair amount of work, but also doing something that will be an asset due to the student’s strengths and accessibility. Victor will cover the coach interviews, five slides, and five minutes of the oral presentation. Victor plays golf so he has experience dealing with coaches and he would be most suitable to do interviews pertaining to college coaches. Heather is doing ten slides, the media research, and five minutes of the oral presentation. Nicole will also be doing ten slides, Internet research, student athlete’s interviews and five minutes of the oral presentation. Nicole and Victor will be bringing more of a youth’s perspective to the project, whereas Heather will be providing a parents perspective pertaining to youth sports. The timeline of our project will be spread over a five- week period starting March 10 th . We decided it would be best to do five slides a week for the next five weeks. By March 17 th we will have the first five slides done which will include our introduction, the purpose, research supporting the topic and two interviews done. By March 24 th we will

By March 31st we will have fifteen slides complete and all of the personal interviews done. During that week, we will also have all of the Internet research done. By April 7th, we will incorporate our Internet research into the project to provide more of a detailed body. During this week, we will have a total of twenty slides complete. On April 10th we will have all twenty-five slides done and we will begin to practice our oral presentation. By April 14th our project will be complete and we will be prepared for peer review.
