Museum Explorers w/ Sue Slepetz
Go on an expedition through the Museum to search for drawings, paintings, sculptures, and fun! With the help of your artistic guide, identify specific works of art and make your own masterpieces using paint and mixed materials back in the studio.

Happy, Sad, Silly, Glad: Feelings in Art w/ Ellen Donaldson
What color is a happy day? How do you create an angry sculpture? What does a joyful painting look like? We’ll explore color, shape, line, and texture and how to express yourself!
Candy Art w/ Lydia Bolton
Combine two of your favorite things by creating mouth-watering projects where candy is your subject. Paint, draw, and sculpt artwork of your favorite sweets.

Masterpiece Fundamentals w/ Susmita Bando
Be inspired by masterworks in the galleries, then create your own! Develop skill and style as you experiment in a variety of media including watercolor, pencil, printmaking, and ink.
Drawing Techniques w/ Jamie Buckmaster
Get the most out of your drawings with important tricks and techniques! Learn to draw in perspective, use shading properly, and create interesting compositions with graphite and inks.

Students who love painting will enjoy this class where they will work in watercolors on varying grounds. Learning specialized techniques, create still-life, landscape, self-portrait, and abstract paintings.

Learn how to successfully draw people and clothes using human proportion. Train your eye by sketching from an artist’s model and masterworks in the Museum in graphite, ink, and pastel. Tuition $120

Japanese Art Old and New w/ Haruo Shiga
Investigate Japanese master artists from such different eras as Hokusai, Utamaro, and more, then create your own art by reimagining the masterpieces and adding a twist of yourself!
Graphic Novel 101 w/ Jamie Buckmaster
Create interesting and innovative illustrations while learning the tricks and tips cartoonists use to tell stories. Design your own mini story and use WAM’s Mac lab to translate it into the next great graphic novel!

Work directly from the masterworks in the Museum galleries as you learn to capture what you see with appropriate perspective, contrast, and depth.

that go into creating art. We also offer longer classes on Saturdays and throughout the summer!
Sign up for one, two, or a whole week of workshops — our “build your own” schedule for vacation weeks provides a wide variety of schedule options. Registration can be done over the phone by calling 508-793-4333, or in person Monday through Friday.
