ardening Expert, TV Presenter and Novelist Alan Titchmarsh MBE will be at Frosts Garden Centre in Woburn
Sands on Saturday 18 April, to help celebrate National Gardening Week.
Alan is visiting the Centre for a day of gardening talks, a book signing and to meet and greet fans. Throughout the day there will be two 40 minute gardening talks where visitors can get tips from the UK’s favourite gardener.
The first talk takes place at 11am; Alan will be providing expert advice on how to create a garden to attract and provide for wildlife. At 1pm fans are invited to return for a book signing and the chance to meet the man himself. Then at 3pm, Alan will hold a second gardening talk where he’ll share all of his small garden secrets.
Entrance to the talks costs £5 which will be donated to Supershoes, a charity which creates personalised canvas shoes for seriously ill and severely disabled children in the UK. Supershoes is a charity very close to the team at Frosts, having been set up by Ken White, the Managing
Director of Frosts Landscapes.
James Frosts, Managing Director of Frosts Garden Centres, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Alan back, he’s a good friend of Frosts and we are excited that he’s going to host this day of talks for our visitors. We wanted to take this
opportunity to raise some money for charity as well;
Supershoes is a fantastic initiative which we are glad to support.”

Aylesbury, one of the safest nights out in the uK
ylesbury’s night life is one of the safest in the uK.
The town has just been given a purple flag again - for offering a quality, safe night out.
Only 54 places were given the coveted award handed out by the Association of Town and City Management (ATCM).
Their report praises the partnership efforts of the various organisations who worked jointly to secure the accreditation for #Aylesbury town centre.
The document also highlights some of the key achievements recorded by the Purple Flag working group over the past 12 months including:
The introduction of a Fair4All scheme ensuring that participating taxi companies provide a fully accessible and reasonably priced service
There has been an ongoing reduction in violent crime offences within the town
The launch of the new Aylesbury Live Guide which provides useful information to enhance the visitor experience both day and night
A new range of retail shops, cafes and restaurants have opened making the consumer offer wider and more diverse
Councillor pam pearce, Cabinet Member for Community Matters at AVDC, said:
“The renewal of the Purple Flag status is fantastic news for the
people of Aylesbury but it comes as no surprise to
me.
“Everyone in the Purple Flag partnership has continued to work exceptionally hard to maintain
this important accreditation. As
a result, the town centre is now an even
safer place than it was 12 months ago, with a vibrant
atmosphere in which people can live, work and enjoy themselves.”
The award, similar to the Blue flag for beaches and green flag for parks, is handed out to towns which have good management of the night-time economy and a quality offer for a diverse audience. Assessors also look at traffic management and the look, feel and safety of the town centre.

his does seem like a lot of car for the money its very refined inside and out and it’s a feel good car the model we drove was the 2.0 SD4
manual and that’s the 4x4 no idea why they make a 2 wheel drive who would want a 2 wheel drive Range Rover?
The Evoque has quick and accurate steering, and the ride is supple enough to absorb most small imperfections in the road surface, without being so soft that the car wallows when you turn in to a corner. Okay, the suspension isn’t perfect – it
sometimes lets the body bounce up and down a couple of times before bringing it under control – but the set-up is generally well judged for UK roads. The exceptions are the 2WD models, which don’t ride as comfortably as the other models
Land Rover’s petrol and diesel engines are audible when worked hard, but they fade nicely into the background at motorway speeds. The wind noise that builds up around the door mirrors is far more intrusive, and road noise can also be a problem, particularly with cars on 20-inch wheels. The nine-
speed automatic gearbox (optional on the 187bhp diesel model
and standard on the petrol) is smooth and rarely gets
caught in the wrong gear.
Really I think the auto is a must if your budget can stretch to it, it’s got a good size boot for the size of the car and the inside is great
with sat nav DAB radio and Bluetooth these all work well
and are very user friendly, big comfortable leather seats that
make you feel like you’re flying with BA in business class (other airlines are available ) Over all I like it and would happily drive it, you can even get a coupe version if you want to be a bit sportier.

1) plan the process. Careful planning of the whole process is key. Prepare a timeline detailing dates of meetings, follow up letters, making sure you have taken into account anyone on maternity or adoption leave, off sick or on holiday. An easy way to keep them informed is by allowing them to join consultation meetings by phone.
2) Collective redundancies. You must make sure you follow the collective redundancy process if you are making more than 20 people redundant in a 90 day period. This involves, amongst other things, allowing those employees who may be affected to elect representatives to consult with you on their behalf.
3) Meaningful Consultation with representatives and affected employees is central to the redundancy process. Failure to do so can result in severe financial penalties.
4) Individual consultation. Even in a collective redundancy situation, individual consultation is still required, to allow the employee to sit down with you and discuss the need for redundancy and any ideas they may have to avoid or reduce them.
5) Department for Business Innovation and skills (BIs). If you are making 20 or more employees redundant, ensure you inform the BIS.
6) Alternatives. No idea is a bad idea. Consider all possible alternatives such as job sharing, part-time working, reduction to a four-day week, pay cuts, etc.
7) selection Criteria. When choosing which employees to make redundant, selection criteria must be applied. The pool that employees will be
chosen from must be fair, and selection criteria must be applied fairly and objectively. The only time that selection criteria do not apply, is when a company is shutting down completely.
8) Feedback on scores. Employees should be informed of their scores under the selection criteria and given the opportunity to discuss them and comment on their appropriateness. Don’t discuss one employee’s scores with any other.
9) no decision has been made. Throughout the redundancy process, do not present the redundancies as inevitable. Demonstrate a willingness to listen and if appropriate, act on proposals made by employees/representatives to
avoid redundancies and make changes if needed. Use words such as
“proposed”, “potential”, “when a final decision is made”, etc.
10) Business reasons. You have a responsibility to inform employees of the business reasons for the redundancies, and it will also give them a better understanding of why they
are taking place.
11) pay Issues. You will have to pay any statutory and contractual
redundancy pay as required, but you should also bear in mind any other
amounts payable. For example, if a discretionary bonus is paid every year to all employees, it may be seen as contractual, therefore those being made redundant may be entitled to some or all of it, on termination of their contract.
12) Adoption or Maternity Leave. Beware! Anyone who is on adoption or maternity leave has enhanced rights and any available alternative positions must first be offered to them ahead of any other employee.

aster is a great time for refreshment, renewal and Spring Cleaning.
If you’re fed up with doing the same old marketing activity and feeling that it’s not providing the return you wanted – refresh it!
Many of us are starting a new financial year, so it’s a good time to review the successful (and not so successful) marketing activities of the past year. What worked? What didn’t? And if you’re really at a loss as to what actually happened (or not), then perhaps it’s time to seek some professional help to ensure your marketing, and more importantly, your marketing budget, is directed and allocated in the most relevant place possible to ensure the best return for the year ahead.
Our initial ‘first contact’ meeting helps us to understand where you are at the moment and where you want to be. You will receive at least three free ideas to help at this meeting. This could be all you need.
If you need more than just a couple of ideas, and want more specific
direction and still want to be able to handle this
yourself for the year ahead, then you’ll
need one of our Power Hours. This is where you have a dedicated hour of strategic advice purely for your
business, that you can then implement
yourself.

Every perfect time must start and end - so live events and opportunities come and go. Without this flow of time and space life itself could not replenish as it does now. Yet what determines what should happen? What drives failure or success? What decides what will continue further, for how long or what should end - sometimes before things even can begin - sometimes beyond the point they healthily should?
Millions of people live on Earth. All have hopes and dreams, ideas large and small, wants and needs, talents not yet born or thoughts that will take root or come to nothing.
If every person had all they wanted at the time that it burst forth from mind or thought this world would be in chaos; all would be haphazard, overlapping to excess and far too busy; for few could see the consequences or the evolving bigger picture of the outcome of many things that were wished for. Few would like the consequence or live events that would emerge; the extra stress and strain that would be theirs to carry or larger problems that would birth for them to face. Not all we want is good for us. Not all that we might wish for is destined to be ours. Instead something else slots in further along the path, at some later point in time more in tune with soul agenda and destined outcome.
But what is destiny? Who can say what we are destined to become or will achieve? Many people have good hearts, they have long and heavy lives; but what determines how that life unfolds, who will win or lose or have a care free happy time? What determines the actual story of the type of life that’s lived? Why do some people have so much while others so very little? What decides who should go forward or who should wait?
Every person births and every person leaves of this we can be sure, but the life that flows between those points is highly individual. Nowhere on the plant exists another you. No one else can birth or do what has been set aside for you – which you’d call destined.
So once again, who or what decides what has been destined? Who or what decides the story line of how each lifetime plays out? Who can activate what has been ‘ear-marked’ to come forward, when and how’?
(I am I) You do! (I am I)
Nothing has the power to hold you back but you yourself and the private thoughts you think that cement into belief, talk, will or action. You are the very power house from where the well of your life springs. Whatever happens will only happen with will and action that stems from you for you are key to your own story and to the course it’s path will take your whole life through.
Life is not a true straight line that runs from start to end. It has cycles, highs and lows, detours, dead ends, stops and starts. Just like natures seasons our pathway unfolds the same in view of what we plant, how we nurture and help things grow, the attention we pay to detail, to new ideas and mature projects once rooted or in fruit through intention, time and care that’s kept in place.
What pressures we choose to carry are also produced by us, i.e. how often you choose to stand still or how you push, shove, fight, cajole life and
other people into action… The way life then connects to what has been produced is determined by how well you’ve set things into place.
For everything that ends, something new begins. Cycles within cycles continue all the time; layers upon layers of movement simultaneously occur unnoticed and unchecked by conscious mind or naked eye. You have projects on the go even now, each one a cycle unto itself. Past goals reached are cycles ended, hopes and targets, cycles still in progress / action, goals and wishes cycles yet to shape or birth…
Many levels of activity, thoughts and deeds integrate with other people you connect to, cycles that then get stronger, bigger, even en-mass
with clout, when we link to live events or causes and work together. Cycles upon cycles like circles on a
lake; energy that’s used and spent, grounded and re-channelled by all of us.
Take a look at where you feel your life is at. Are you in a place of endings or beginnings? Does your life feel stuck, lack purpose or direction; are you in a fertile land with opportunity and abundance? Are you surrounded with new projects, with movement and inspiration – or at the end
of what you’ve worked hard to accomplish – to now be able to restock or take a rest?
All these things are indications of where your life is at within the global cycle of your personal
life agenda. (I am I) understanding this will help you cope and be more able to plan your next
move. (I am I)
For every high there is a low – so the key is to find balance. The better you are at balance the more in tune you’ll be with life and nature and the help that it produces to assist.
Remember it is important that you are happy, that you’re in sync with all occurrences playing out for you or others that you connect to. Every person is a vessel for live energy to flow from and to.
Nature needs us working properly and for our own sakes we need that too – for nature takes care of Earth and we’re part of that too.
(I am I) You take energy without form and turn it into matter for physical life and purpose for daily living. (I am I)
