I suffer from ADCD, attention deficit Cleaning disorder.
It’s where you start to clean one thing, but get distracted by other
things that need to be cleaned, which causes you to bounce around
to different jobs only to end up doing a lot of work with nothing to
show for it.
A guy sees a lion approaching, falls to his
knees and prays to the Lord in hopes of being saved. All of a sudden the lion
kneels too. the guy says, “you’re saying your

Spring has arrived, and with longer days and warmer weather comes a new crop of fresh produce. ‘Tis the perfect season to “spring clean” your diet, so out with the heavy fall and winter fare and in with springtime fruits and veggies. In-season produce reaps the most nutritional value so here’s what to look for on the produce aisle or at the local farmers’ market. Watch for a new food item and recipe each day ....
aPRiCotS
For a boost of beta-carotene, potassium, vitamin C, and fiber in a sweet 50-calorie bundle, be sure to bring home apricots from the farmers’ market or grocery store. The peak season for this fresh fruit is from May to August. Sandwiches, snacks, jams, salsas, and salads will all be just a bit sweeter and delicious with apricots.
Fresh Apricot Chutney This apricot chutney is great with any grilled meat—and as a spread with low-fat mayonnaise on sandwiches.
3 1/2 cups cubed pitted apricots (about 1 1/4 pounds)1/2 cup packed light brown sugar1/2 cup chopped red onion1/3 cup cider vinegar1/4 cup golden raisins2 tablespoons honey1 tablespoon minced seeded serrano chile (1 small)1/2 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds1/2 teaspoon ground coriander1/2 teaspoon ground cumin1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat; bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. Reduce heat, and simmer 15 minutes or until thick, stirring occasionally. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Note:Store this apricot chutney, covered, in the refrigerator for up to one week. A good rule for selecting apricots: If they smell sweet, they probably taste terrific. For spicier chutney, leave the seeds in the serrano chile.

MiniMuM WagE to inCREaSE oCtobER 1, 2014gov.ca -The Government of Saskatchewan will increase the province’s min-imum wage from $10 to $10.20 per hour effective October 1, 2014 and will soon introduce regulations to provide for regular indexing of the minimum wage each year. “Increasing the minimum wage will give minimum wage earners more disposable income and improve their standard of living,” Labour Relations and Workplace Safety Minister Don Morgan said. “Indexation of the minimum wage will provide security for minimum wage earners and ensure predictabili-ty for business owners in the province. Since 2007, we have increased the min-imum wage in Saskatchewan six times and have gone from $7.95 to $10.20. That’s 28 per cent, which is well ahead of the rate of inflation.” Highlights of the new minimum wage regulation will include:• Indexation formula will be based on the equal weighting of the percentage changes in the Consumer Price Index and Average Hourly Wage for the previ-ous year.• A change in the minimum wage will be announced on or before June 30 of each year, with that change coming in effect on October 1 of the same year. The Government of Saskatchewan has significatly reduced the tax burden on minimum wage earners by increasing the basic personal, spousal and child benefits and by creating the Saskatchewan Low Income Tax Credit, remov-ing about 112,000 people from the tax rolls. Individual taxpayers now pay no Saskatchewan income tax on their first $18,650 of income while a family of four pays no Saskatchewan income tax on their first $48,320 of income – the highest tax-free income threshold for a family of four in Canada.
