Your waste andrecycling calendarfor 2019-2020

From Tuesday 7 January 2020 your recycling and rubbish will be collected on your normal day. Garden waste collections will not take place in the weeks beginning 23 December 2019 and 30 December 2019.

Garden waste collections - If you are a member of the Green Waste Club please check your collection calendar for scheduled collections over the bank holidays. If you are not a member you can subscribe and have garden waste collected every fortnight. Food waste caddy - Food waste is collected every week from your green outside food caddy or shared green wheelie bin (for some flats). Please use plastic bags (no black bags) or liners to help keep your caddy clean.Yes please• Fruit and vegetable peelings.• Raw or cooked meat and fish, including bones.• Cheese and egg shells.• Tea bags and coffee grounds.• Ready meals and plate scrapings.No thanks • Packaging • Liquids like milk or yoghurt • Oil or liquid fat.

Recycling bin - We collect recycling from your blue lidded wheeled bin, clear recycling sacks or shared larger wheeled bin (for some flats) every other week.Yes please• Dry paper and cardboard.• Plastic bottles, pots, tubs and trays - including detergent bottles, yoghurt pots, ice cream tubs and ready meal trays.• Metal tins and cans.• Glass bottles and jars.

Rubbish bin - Your waste is collected every other week from your new wheeled rubbish bin or shared larger wheeled bin (for some flats).

What goes in each bin?

Small electricals - Please place small electrical items like kettles, toasters, hair dryers, alarm clocks and laptops in a tied plastic carrier bag next to your green food waste caddy on your collection day.No thanks • Large electrical items like televisions or white goods.

Clothes and home textiles - Please place clean and dry clothes, home textiles, paired shoes and accessories like belts and bags in a tied plastic carrier bag next to your green food waste caddy on your collection day.No thanks • Single shoes • Stuffed items like cushions and duvets
