Tulum is the archaelogical site of the pre-Colombian walled Maya City. At the time it was one the most important commercial trading ports. The ruins are perched on a cliff top overlooking the Caribbean Sea; among them El Castillo “The Castle”, is one of the most impressive buildings and at one time was a temple and a fortress. A guided tour at this archaeological site lasts 2 hours.
