West Iredell Middle School PTA offers a Parent Involvement Program with a variety of opportunities for you to be involved in your child's school life. We offer opportunities to volunteer at school, from home, and after school hours at family events. Parent involvement is at the core of student achievement. The evidence is consistent, positive, and convincing: Families have a major influence on their children's achievement in school and throughout life. Numerous studies have found that students with involved parents, no matter what their income or background may be, are more likely to: • Earn higher grades and test scores, and enroll in higher-level programs • Be promoted, pass their classes, and earn credits • Have better social skills, show improved behavior, and adapt well to school • Graduate and go on to post secondary education West Iredell Middle School PTA Your Time is Valuable.
