While the Yoo-Mi PHA avatar is the face and mentor ofour platform, the comprehensive marketplace behind itcaters to all the wellness needs of our users. Themarketplace uses Blockchain to provide direct access toentities that facilitate every wellness need in anaffordable, efficient and customized way. The entireYoo-Mi PHA marketplace operates using our dedicatedUME currency exclusively. Customers who do not yethave UME coins can exchange their fiat money on theplatform into UME tokens.The marketplace operates on multiple verticals. Not onlywill a wide variety of wellness products be directlyavailable to order from the marketplace, but users willreceive customized offers for service providers that alignwith their location, personal objectives, budget andpersonal compatibility. The menu of wellness servicesand products will include anything from spas topersonal trainers, weight loss support groups tonutritionists, therapists to masseurs. This hyper-personalized approach means small and localbusinesses will be included and can also thrive on ourmarketplace through enhanced visibility and targetedpromotions.

Providers will be pre-approved before being allowed topromote their services. THE NECESSITY OF BLOCKCHAIN

There are several factors that make a Blockchainecosystem a necessary component of the Yoo-Mi PHAplatform:Security and confidentialityThe Yoo-Mi PHA is able to motivate life-optimizingbehavior through the continuous learning andabsorption of information around your personal traitsand wellness progress. The sensitive nature of thispersonal information, such as blood test results,internal motivators and behavioral changes,necessitates only the strongest security measures andencryption methods. Storing data on the blockchaindecentralizes personal information and ensures it is notheld by any external entity.TransparencyWe will use blockchain to disclose all the properties ofeach product we offer, including features, ingredients,quality standards, and pricing structure. All third-partysuppliers will also have to submit detailed andsubstantiated information about their products andservices, which will be verified and published on theblockchain.Facilitating micro-transactionsGlobal money transfers are greatly facilitated byblockchain technology. Using traditional settings wouldrequire a massive legal and accounting team to createworldwide access to Yoo-Mi PHA’s products andservices, not to mention the funds needed to pay heftycredit card processing fees. With smart contracts andblockchain, this problem is eliminated.Token rewards for activities on the platformAs part of our incentivization framework, smartcontracts will be used to distribute tokens among ourusers based on their successful completion of wellness-enhancing actions. Every day we will distribute 50,000tokens to users. Smart contracts will be used to sharethe location of these tokens with our users. Using smartcontracts is an effective, simplified way of motivatingpeople to consistently take positive action to improvetheir well-being for financial rewards. Users also receive15% cashback on products and services purchased onthe marketplace with UME tokens.Rewarding system for suppliersIncentivizing suppliers is another important componentof the Yoo-Mi PHA model. Tokens can be earned bysuppliers as a reward for offering competitively pricedproducts and services to Yoo-Mi PHA customers.

The top five sellers on the platform as established by auser-generated reviewing system will be rewarded withUME tokens. These tokens will be distributed among themost popular suppliers on the platform via SmartContracts.

THE YOO-MI PHA BLOCKCHAIN

Yoo-Mi PHA is a hybrid solution utilizing a Blockchainprotocol for transactions, rewards and smart contracts,and managed by a governance system. The Blockchainprotocol will be based on the Ethereum network andour transaction solution will be based on a fork ofEthereum deployed as a private ledger with proof ofstake as a consensus mechanism. There are otherconsensus mechanisms that we are investigating thatwill be researched in conjunction with the developmentof the system and may be adopted after a vote via thegovernance protocol at a later time.Yoo-Mi PHA implements several major modifications tothe Ethereum protocol, such as a government systemthat allows for upgrading and validation.The currency of our system, UME tokens, will be thecurrency of our marketplace and will be used to rewardYoo-Mi PHA customers for following the guidelines oftheir personal avatars and achieving personal goals. Thecurrency can also be used to activate smart contracts orbuy products and services from the Yoo-Mi PHAmarketplace. The goal of this design is to create ablockchain system that can eliminate the middle menfrom the equation and let our customers manage theirwellness at a lower cost and consume only what theirbody really needs.The marketplace ensures day-one usability by enablingthe purchasing of super foods, weight loss aides,nutritional supplements, vitamins, minerals and sportsproducts. Our design will allow users to get UME tokensas rewards and to manage their data via our platformfrom the very first day of the platform’s launch.In the following sections we will go through the detailsof the blockchain system and the governance system.

Governance

The token will support governance control which isnecessary to ensure the smooth-running of theplatform. While the entire payment solution isdecentralized and all information about transactions inour systems will be held by the suppliers of ourproducts and services, occasional back-office approvalfor certain functionality may be required to boostsecurity and the solution’s usability. Additionally, thegovernance will assure that the Blockchaindecentralization advantage will reduce the dependencyat any single point of failure. In order to run ourdedicated Blockchain effectively we will ensure our newgovernance model will incorporate the voices andopinions of the partners involved in the Yoo-Mi PHAplatform.The UME tokens will implement an upgradeable tokendesign that will enable future enhancement of speed,scalability, performance, functionality and businesspivoting. A token upgrade, once its development iscompleted later this year, is an imperative feature,allowing Yoo-Mi PHA to create real-time sustainablesolutions. Aspects of the token upgrade vary fromsimple improvements (i.e. speed and scalability) to theadoption of a new crypto technologies and securitymeasures as the ecosystem evolves. This solutionprovides a way to connect a single ledger to a chain oflinked tokens. The Yoo-Mi PHA ledger and token designaims to achieve several goals:• Allow the development team to upgrade the token in

a single atomic action.• Upgrade action should force all token holders to

participate in the upgrade process.• Token owners will not be required to take any action,

they will be charged no gas fee and the transition willbe seamless.

• Anyone can create an upgrade for the token, but onlythe development team will be able to connect theupgraded token to the Backend Ledger for allowingtransfers. This small element of control is a necessityto running updates that even platforms such asEthereum require.

Smart Contract Blockchain

The Yoo-Mi PHA Blockchain protocol and token is basedon the Ethereum protocol, which is an open sourceBlockchain with distributed computing for smartcontracts. Smart contracts are state-based, immutableprograms stored on the blockchain, which canguarantee the contract’s actions.The difference from Ethereum is the ability of the user totransfer our token, UME tokens, along with several othertypes of data. In Yoo-Mi, like Ethereum, our state on theblockchain is made up of objects. We have the 4 fieldsmentioned in Ethereum which are the nonce, cryptocurrency balance, contract code, and storage. These willallow users to keep track of their identities. UME tokensare the fuel of this network, and are used to paytransaction fees, fuel smart contracts, and provideliquidity to medical data and identities stored in thesystem. In addition, there are two contracts with whicha user will interact: the first is similar to its counterparton the Ethereum network, the other is a data storagecontract, which will use its contract field to handle thedata storage account in a safe manner.

Consensus

Our system will combine Ethereum (public) as a primaryblockchain and fork of Ethereum (private) with proof ofstake as a consensus method as a side chain that wouldbe used for all internal transactions. This willsignificantly decrease all the transactions costs and willmake the micropayments economically sustainable.Due to the fact that UME tokens are the only method ofpayment in the marketplace, this is the most effectiveway to decrease transaction costs and increasetransaction settlement speed.

Technical Road Map

The road map of our system is designed in phases,allowing for continuous development and stand-alonebusiness cases. The code will be viewable on GitHub. Inaddition, each milestone shall have research donebeforehand, with the results published in a white paper.It is important to note several things about the stages:We would like for each phase to be able to stand aloneand generate awareness and activities without requiringthe next phases to take place. This is designed due tothe strict security restrictions. Thus, if something goeswrong with one of the phases, the distributed systemcan still continue to function. The schedule androadmap will also be updated for new developmentsand unforeseen events. Every stage will have additionalfunctionality.Once all these stages are complete, while there arefuture plans as described in the Future Areas ofResearch section, we plan on the community andconsortium leading further growth and developmentwith us to continue to contribute to for an additionalyear. Afterwards we will work on additional research andopen source UI tools. The status of our network can alsobe tracked via this GitHub repository.

Phase 1 - Complete

Our first stage will be deploying an ERC 20 Token that will allow users to use UME tokens from day one and buy a subscription for a personal data management platform.

Phase 2 – June 2018

Our second stage will be building our initial Blockchain ecosystem. Our initial ecosystem will have the built-in governance solution, currency transaction, and the ability to run smart contracts. Users at this stage can buy products and services from the Yoo-Mi PHAmarketplace. This stage will also be fully released on GitHub when we have several partners in the governing consortium.

Phase 3 – September 2018

Launch proprietary sidechain solution based on Ethereum hard form with Proof of stake as a consensus, protocol amendment capabilities and renovated governance mechanism.

Phase 4 – January 2019

The final stage will involve the secure data storage layer. This will require the most trust from providers of our services and products and, being the most theoretical, is being scheduled last. This will allow our partners to securely store their data and share their data in real time without allowing access to their current system and allow for real time data analytics.

INCORPORATING COMMUNITIES

To ensure our Yoo-Mi PHA platform is thriving with members from the very first day of our launch, we are approaching, globally common-interest communities and incorporating them into our platform in phases. We are already in negotiations with a few communitieswith active users of wellness enthusiasts who arealready engaged adherents to the types of wellnessproducts that will be available for purchase on ourmarketplace. We are also currently in negotiations withglobal brands to bring their communities, products andservices to the platform. Details of these partnershipswill be released publicly once negotiations have beenfinalized.In June 2018, communities and international brands,vendors, service providers and local brands will be ableto take part in our platform as well as publish theirservices. Not only does this promote healthycompetition, it increases the diversity of productsavailable, so each user can find the right products andservices to meet their specific wellness needs.Because of the rapid and substantial growth of thehealth and wellness industries, there is a variety ofsizable communities that Yoo-Mi PHA is able toapproach and convert into platform users.

According to a recent report by the Global WellnessInstitute, over the last three years the wellness marketsize has grown by 10,6%. By 2015 the market reached$3.7 trillion and continues to expand at an average paceof between 3-6% per year depending on the segment.Today, the wellness market presents more than 5% ofglobal economic output and almost half of all globalhealth expenditures(1).

Young consumers are most willing to pay a premium forhealth attributes. While health benefits are importantfactors in purchase decisions for all age groups, theyrank lowest among Silent Generation (aged 65+)respondents. Health attribute ratings are highest amongMillennials (21-34), followed by Baby Boomers (50-64),Generation X (35-49) and Generation Z (under 20).

Half of all adultparticipants in a survey in the mid-2000s said theytook at least one supplement every day. According to areport published by Zion Market Research(5) in January2017, the global dietary supplements market was valuedat USD 132.8 billion in 2016 and is expected to reachUSD 220.3 billion in 2022 and is anticipated to grow at aCAGR of 8.8% between 2017 and 2022.

Vitamin supplement accounted for around 42% ofglobal market share in 2016. Asia-Pacific was the largestmarket for dietary supplements globally in 2016.Consumer awareness about the benefits of dietarysupplements, greater product availability and increaseddisposable income are the major drivers for this market.Meanwhile, North America accounted for around 28% ofthe total market and is projected to grow. The UME TokenThere are several benefits to establishing a new token.Due to strict regulations around privacy and security,health data will need to be run on a dedicatedBlockchain system and there would be severalinteroperability issues if another currency were to beused. A strong ecosystem requires the constantly growingdemand within UME network and a proportional growthin supply. Both of these drivers depend on boostingdemand for products and services that can be boughtonly with UME tokens which is predicted to grow super-linearly compared to the number of active clients in themarketplace.
