AT&T Network on Demand: Connecting to ADIoD - The Basics

Your new ADIoD Service

AT&T Dedicated Internet on Demand (ADIoD) uses a virtual AT&T Managed router and firewall. The

router/firewall is located in the AT&T Integrated Cloud, instead of at customer’s site. Customers access

router and firewall services via the ADI Business Center portal.

Depending on your site arrangement, you may need to configure your equipment for it to work with

ADIoD.

Before You Begin

Before you can configure your network or turn up your service you need:

Your equipment connected to the AT&T demarc/patch panel/NTE

Inside wire completed

Your equipment manufacturer’s configuration guide

Access to your Business Center portal

Locate Site Inventory in your Business Center Portal:

Configuring your equipment requires you to obtain IP Addresses from the Business center portal. To do so,

you must enter the portal and navigate to the site you are intending to configure.

1. Access your Business Portal

2. In the NoD Inventory widget click the Manage button to launch a list of your sites

3. Find your desired site in the inventory list, then click (+) to view the Internet circuit(s) for that site.

Connecting to a Router, VPN Device, or Firewall:

To connect to a router, VPN device, or firewall, you must configure your equipment to work with the ADIoD

service using a Static Route with AT&T-assigned IP Addresses. To do this, you will need to find your

assigned IP Addresses for your site as follows:

1. Access your Business Portal

2. Navigate to the site you wish to configure and use the Manage dropdown to select Edit L3

3. This will bring you to the Router LAN Settings Page. Using this as an example, configure your

equipment with the following:

Connecting a Device that Requires Access from Internet

If your device requires outside access (an email server or VPN for instance), you must enable 1-to-1 Network

Address Translation (NAT) on the AT&T virtual router, and then add your device to our built-in firewall.

1. Access your Business Portal

2. Navigate to the site you wish to configure and use the Manage dropdown to select Edit L3

3. Write down the values shown under IPv4 Public LAN Block (outlined in blue in this example below).

You will need to capture this information for entry on next screens.

4. Once you have noted these values, scroll to the bottom of the page and click continue. You will now

be on page 2 - Virtual Router Optional Features

5. If Network Address Translation for IPv4 is not enabled, select edit

6. Select the Yes radial button to enable NAT. This will open a new section for Network Address

Translation Mapping

7. Using this example for reference, configure your device as follows:

NOTE: If you receive an error on Next-Hop after clicking continue, go back and edit to delete the

value and proceed without it. Error example:

8. Next, you must add your device to the built in Firewall. To do this, navigate back to your Inventory

page to locate the site and internet that you are configuring.

9. Use the Manage dropdown to select Configure Firewall.

10. The Firewall Management environment opens in a new browser window.

11. In the IPv4 Filters tab, in the WAN Rules section, select Add Rule and configure as follows:

Refer to the Firewall Guide for additional information about using the firewall.

This concludes steps for setup with AT&T’s virtual router and firewall in the cloud. If you are setting up a

VPN from your own firewall, you may take additional steps to:

Enable NAT-Transversal (NAT-T) on your firewall

Enter in the public NAT IP for your tunnel source on your firewall
