Mr. Kermit Geary, R.F.D. #2, Walnutport, Pennsylvania

Dear Mr. Geary:

ALBERT J. MEYER WNER ANO MANAGER

This will confirm your report of KPOW's Frequency Check of Wednesday morning, March 2L, from 2 to 2:30, MWT, and dedi- cated to the National Radio Club. I am very happy to have re- ceived all of your letters regarding this check from you mem- bers of this National Radio Club.

Our monthly check is made every fourth Wednesday of the month from 2 to 2:30 A.M., MWT.

Mr. Meyer is a Class "A" Amateur Ham, therefore, our trans- mitting equipment was his biggest hobby before he entered the U. S. iNavy. I am trying to "keep the home fires burning" until he returns after the duration and can take over again. Inciden- tally, I might mention at this time that he built his own short- wave transmitter for our home and holds "WAS" and "WAC" certi- ficates. He designed a three -beam antenna, which occupied two pages of QST Magazine of May, 1939.

I would be very happy if you would drop me a line at any time you hear KPOW on the eir. If in the future you would like to have another dedication made, just drop me a line and I shall be very happy to do this.

Very truly yours,

Rosemary C. Meyer Manager Radio Station, KPOW

Dear Kermit Geary,

Thanks for the signal report. Sorry I am so late in replying

to you letter, but I have been busy.

As noted in your report. I was a little late in getting

started due to some technical difficulties. I Started with an

voice I.D. then 1kHz morse I.D. and at around 12:30 A.M. and

12:45 A.M. identified with morse code only. The times you noted

for the tone signals or bursts would have corresponded with the

code identification.

Sincerely,

orò-

Dear Sir:

Thank you for your kind letter. Please forgiour slowness in replying. I recently assumed the job of program director at KCHY and am slowly trying

to catch up on correspondence long overdue.

We are happy to verify your report. It is amazing the coverage KCHY seems

to be receiving in many parts of the nation, especially considering the fact

that at night we are very directional in a north/south pattern. Your report

is our first from Pennsylvania. KCHY broadcasts 24 hours a day with 10,000

watts daytime, 5,000 watts critical hours, and 1,000 watts at night.

We would be happy to know if you are still able to receive KCHY and would

like to know how regular reception is. Best of luck on your listening and thank you for your reception report. Once again I appologize for the

delay in replying to your letter.

Sincerely yours:
