ON THE COVERKim Clermont, husband and mother at her side, is just one of many women to face the unexpected and stark realities of heart disease.

Because women experience heart disease differently from men, it’s harder to diagnose, treat, and support them. That’s why women’s heart health is a significant patient-care and research priority at St. Boniface Hospital.

Kim underwent quadruple bypass surgery at St. Boniface Hospital. Her successful recovery includes newfound confidence to speak up for women’s heart health.

That’s the life-altering impact of donor generosity. On behalf of the Clermont family and so many more like them, thank you.

The Grey Nuns established St. Boniface Hospital, the first hospital in Western Canada, on the banks of the Red River nearly 150 years ago. From that moment on, the hope and healing within have been sustained by the support of people the Hospital serves.

As we near the Hospital’s 150-year anniversary in 2021, as well as the Foundation’s own 50 years of service, we all have so much to be proud of. Thanks to the generosity of you – our donors, St. Boniface Hospital has been there to provide care to generations of families.

St. Boniface Hospital Foundation’s annual summer and fall fundraising events rallied generous Manitobans and raised much-needed funds for health care and research at St. Boniface Hospital.

The province’s premier charitable golf tournament, our Cardiac Classic – 2018 edition – took place at Niakwa Country Club. Since inception, this event has raised more than $385,000 in support of cardiac care and research at St. Boniface Hospital. Mark your calendar – the 2019 Cardiac Classic is on Monday, August 12. Meanwhile, radio stations 680 CJOB, Peggy @ 99.1, and Power 97 were on-site last November for the Radiothon of Hope and Healing presented by the Vickar Automotive Group. Together, we raised more than $143,000 – a new record!
