2 10 YEARS YOUNGER IN 10 DAYS!

Why Am I Aging? In our mid-twenties, we reach our peak of growth and development. After that, we go through a gradual decline into old age that can be measured in both biological and psychological changes. How fast we travel, is key! Thereareover100TRILLIONcellsinthehumanbody.It’sprettyeasytofigureoutthat cellular health is at the forefront of holistic health. Unless we want to look and feel decades older than we are, we need to protect our cells! Allergies, exposure to the sun, poor nutrition, abuse of alcohol and/or tobacco, stress, inactivity and exposure to toxic chemicals will all lead to an unpleasant attack on our cellular health across the board. Exposure to these scenarios produces what are called ‘free radicals’. Free radicals are basically unstable molecules; their electron count is out of balance. These molecules then ‘steal’ electrons from other molecules causing a chain reaction of freeradicaldamage.Thisinturn, leadstooxidativestresswhichbringsoninflammation, the ‘secret cause’ of so many points of illness and disease. Sound technical? It’s not, really.

Free radicals are busy body chemicals thatwreak absolute havoc on our cells.

Imagine popping the hood of your car, and pulling things apart, mixing them up, emptying the antifreeze…and then trying to drive! Things could get pretty messy! We are aging BECAUSE of the damage free radicals cause over time. The presence of too many free radicals within a cell creates a condition known as ‘oxidative stress’. As oxidative stress escalates, it begins to overwhelm the body’s antioxidant defenses, causing potentially lasting damage, and even death to our cells. Antioxidants are protein molecules that defend the body, and in turn attack free radicals.

Don’t just let free radicals take control of your health. It’s time tostart looking into some protection! Where do you start? Read on!

Vitamin A, C and E to enter the cells and assist in the fight against harmful free radicals! Glutathione is instrumental in protecting and boosting immune health. Without glutathione your body would have little resistance to bacteria or viruses. Every pathogen that came your way would put your health in a very dangerous position. Without Glutathione, our liver would very quickly become strained from over accumulation of these toxins. This build up would most certainly result in liver failure, and likely even a multi system organ failure. Death would shortly follow. Next to water, glutathione is THE most important substance there is for detoxification in the liver! Unfortunately, you will not find glutathione in any food source as it is created in our bodies. Because glutathione is diminished and broken down through exposure to numerous toxins, lack of sleep, sedentary lifestyles and poor diet, we must supply our diets with supplements that help our bodies produce more glutathione. Considering the fact that glutathione is considered the ‘diamond of health’ in the nutraceutical community, it’s likely an investment…you should consider making!

COENZYME (COQ10)

If anti aging is at the forefront of your mind, CoQ10 should be there as well. This naturally occurring, vitamin like substance can be found in every single cell in the human body! This powerful antioxidant packs a mean punch when fighting for your health. Also known as Ubiquinol, CoQ10 derives its anti aging effect from its role in producing energy and promoting metabolism. CoQ10 also plays an important role in rebuilding our supply of Vitamin E – another anti aging antioxidant! As Vitamin E protects our cellular membranes, it gets ‘used up’. CoQ10 acts as a re-start button, restoring the antioxidant power within the vitamin. As an antioxidant, CoQ10 will also boost your immunity, reducing the decay of cells, and significantly lowering the risk of degenerative disease. The most significant role CoQ10 plays, is in defense of heart health. It is essential in transporting fatty cells to the cells, and promoting metabolism to burn these fats for energy. When you think of cells within the heart, this energy conversion process is often

a difference between life – and death. I wasn’t kidding when I said that this was one tough antioxidant! Meat and fish are the most dominant sources of CoQ10. For vegetarians or those trying to lower their meat intake, nuts, avocados, strawberries, apples, spinach and broccoli are great places to start looking for this powerhouse in the produce aisle!

GLUTATHIONE

As the body’s most powerful and prevalent antioxidant, Glutathione is essential in cell protection. Because of its crucial role in protecting immune health, Glutathione is referred to as the ‘Master Antioxidant’ in the medical and nutraceutical communities. Like CoQ10, Glutathione can be found in every single cell in the human body. What makes Glutathione so fascinating is that the antioxidant acts quite literally as a ‘gate keeper’ to each cell. While Glutathione protects the nuclease and DNA within the cell, it is also promoting cell growth, immune response and nutrient metabolism, all the while encouraging other antioxidants such as

acids (Known as Omega- 3 fatty acids) that are found in them! The anti-aging components in omega-3’s are startling.

Heart HealthOmega-3’s have been shown to lower the levels of triglycerides (unhealthy compounds that get into your blood and can be a major sign of heart disease), along with lowering blood pressure! Omega-3’s also help reduce cholesterol and protect your arteries from free radical damage.

Brain HealthMany people don’t know that Omega 3’s are one of the major building blocks of our brain! Omega-3’s improve brain and memory function, balance your moods and protect your nerve linings! Omega-3’s will also assist with the day to day maintenance of the mind, keeping it fit and active!

WATER

Water is good for you! This seems pretty basic. Yet, many of us choose high calorie, high chemical beverages over this premium elixir almost all the time. In an ancient Japanese legend, a hero named Takenouchi no Sukune drank daily from the water of a sacred well, and lived to be 280 years old. While chances are good we will not live for centuries, there is some truth to the legend. Water is absolutely crucial to human life. We can live up to forty days without food, but after just three days without water, our bodies would be in severe danger. Why? Next to oxygen, water is your body’s most important nutrient. Water is involved in every bodily function, and makes up to 70% of your total body weight. Water helps you to maintain body temperature, metabolize body fat, aids in digestion, lubricates and cushions organs, transports nutrients, and flushes toxins from your body. How much water does one need? A standard answer is approximately 8 glasses. The key to making sure you are getting adequate intake however, really just takes common sense and moderation! If you’re thirsty, drink more! If the weather is hot and dry, drink more! If you’ve just finished a two hour run, drink more! Alongside water’s long list of healthful properties, staying well-hydrated also helps the liver with detoxification. By using your urine’s color as your guide, you can make sure to consume enough water and avoid the additional burden of dehydration. Considering that our bodies are over fifty percent water, and there is water in every single cell in the human body, it’s clear how important it is to stay hydrated!

ASTAXANTHIN

This antioxidant is very easy to spot, as it exists within the colorful pigment of salmon, shellfish and algae. Astaxanthin is a member of the carotenoid family. Carotenoids are powerful antioxidants that are easily converted into essential vitamins. You will know carotenoids from their colorful appearance in some of our favorite fruits and vegetables. Blueberries, cranberries and carrots

for example, are all carotenoids. Astaxanthin, however, is known to be the strongest antioxidant in this family, easily battling away and quenching free radicals as they try to attack cellular health. For example, salmon would not have nearly enough energy or muscle recovery to trek hundreds of miles upstream without an abundance of astaxanthin on their side. Just imagine being able to go back and beat your record time on the track, or actually follow through with your promise to climb Mount Kilimanjaro! On top of promoting optimal cellular health, astaxanthin is also able to cross the blood/brain barrier. It will prevent the oxidation or damage that occurs as our eyes are exposed to UV rays over many years. A healthy amount of astaxanthin will protect you from cataracts, and other age degenerative complications with your eyesight. ‘Look no further’as they say! Here’s the tricky stitch: algae is the only source in the plant kingdom for astaxanthin. While it’s true, it can also easily be found in salmon, lobster, shrimp, krill and crayfish, you aren’t exactly going to be having fish and algae every evening for dinner. The surest way to achieve optimal results from this powerful antioxidant is by choosing a dietary supplement that you can take on a daily basis. This one tiny supplement will put you well on your way to turning back the clock!

OMEGA-3’S

Fish, by far the most significant source of omega-3’s available, has been receiving attention for its many health benefits since the 1930’s. But the extent of their many health benefits were not discovered until a study of Greenland’s Inuit people in the 70’s. The study discovered that because Inuit people included a very high concentration of fish in their diet, they had a near 0% incidence of heart disease. This discovery led to a whirlwind of research, leading the FDA to finally recommend it as part of your dietary intake. For the FDA to recommend dietary changes is a process that takes decades and only happens after the evidence is close to being beyond a shadow of a doubt! The benefits that come primarily from fish oil have to do with three different fatty

Here’s the tricky Stitch: WhileOmega-3’sarebeneficialto the anti aging process, they are not naturally occurring in the body and so, need to be consumed through diet and supplementation. Whilefishisahealthy, leanprotein choice, many food guides internationally recommend limiting yourfishintaketotwoportionsperweek. These recommendations are in place to protect you from exposure to various contaminants (mercury for example). Supplementation is the best way to balance your Omega-3 intake, to ensure you are getting optimalbenefitsfromthesepowerful essential fatty acids! One main reason behind this is, when supplemented, it is possibly toactuallypurifythefishoil, whichhelps you avoid exposure to dangerous contaminants. To guarantee purity, seek out a supplement company that provides extensive information behind its purifying process, and is IFOS (International Fish OilStandards) certified.

Eye HealthOmega fatty acids play a huge role in our eyes. Our eyes nerves have a very high concentration of omega fatty acids throughout. Replenishing our Omega-3’s on a regular basis helps you both prevent and reduce ocular eye disorders such as; dry eye syndrome, macular degeneration and inflammation conditions. Forgive the pun, but a good Omega-3 supplement, really is ‘a sight for sore eyes’!

Joint HealthResearch has proven that getting sufficient Omega 3’s in your diet can reduce the intensity of joint problems, morning stiffness and joint tenderness. What’s more, getting a daily dose of highly concentrated Omega 3’s helps combat joint pain and promote flexibility! In short, omega-3’s help keep you moving! Needless to say, Omega-3’s are all around fighters, and very helpful ally’s when it comes to promoting healthy aging!

VEGETABLES

We all know we should be eating our vegetables. They are loaded with essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients. They are also full with fiber and antioxidants! Loading up on greens will do significant wonders to the quality in which you age! Think about it: Vegetables spend their days out in the sun. They are constantly bombarded by UV radiation in sunlight. This radiation causes free radicals to appear in the plants. To fight the damage caused by the sun, vegetables developed antioxidants to repair the damage and havoc that free radicals cause. That’s why vegetables are some of the best things you can eat – left in the sun all day, they have high concentrations of antioxidants. So, not only do vegetables contain essential vitamins and minerals for your body, they also contain substances that help fight off damage caused by free radicals. We’ve talked at great length throughout this report, on the detriment of free radicals and the power in antioxidants to fight them off! Making sure vegetables are included as an important part of your diet, is a sure fire way to promote a strong immune system! What else are your veggies full of? That’s right, Fiber! Fiber is vital when it comes to anti aging benefits. Many have associated the benefits of fiber with the physical appearance with the skin, and body. But, the anti aging benefits fiber provides are in actuality, most prevalent within the body. When the body ages, the systems of the body become more prone to illness and disease. Fiber has the ability to prevent disease, moderate body weight, and reduce the risks of: heart attack, diabetes and cancer. When it comes to fiber,

the human body will inevitably benefit from the many health benefits behind this complex carbohydrate! Might be a good time to hit the local produce market and stock up on some ‘rabbit food’! Focus on leafy green vegetables and try to eat all sorts of colors and types of vegetables each week. For optimal results, have at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables everyday (9 servings is ideal). By increasing your daily vegetable intake, you are giving your body the gift of life and health for many years to come!

BLUEBERRIES

It’s easy to see why this little fruit is so highly regarded. Its rich, dark color is a dead giveaway of the potent antioxidants inside. Blueberries are commonly recommended as part of a balanced anti aging diet. In fact, blueberries have the most antioxidants per serving than any other fruit! When it comes to looking younger, blueberries cannot be beat! Inflammation is a major cause of skin aging and wrinkling and the powerful anti inflammatory agents in blueberries helps you ward off the road maps of aging! Those same anti-inflammatory properties will help provide relief to those suffering from the painful inflammation attached to arthritis. The powerful antioxidant and anti inflammatory properties of blueberries, are also thought to slow the loss of mental function that is so often associated with aging. In fact, research suggests that blueberries might even help with slow down the cognitive deterioration that comes with Alzheimer’s disease. Because they hold the heavy weight title in anti oxidant power, blueberries will protect help reduce the damage done after a stroke, lower cholesterol and improve eye sight! Another age related problem that blueberries can help ward off, is the loss of coordination and balance – a major factor in age related accidents! Per serving, blueberries offer monumental nutritional value, while having few calories. This means you’re getting optimal nutrition

without the excessive sugar that many other fruits contain, helping you keep the pounds off the scale! As an added bonus, blueberries are readily available and easy to eat. Include them in your cereal, yogurt, ice cream or smoothie. They even taste great all on their own as a perfect afternoon snack or late night dessert!

OLIVE OIL

The key to understanding the multiple benefits of olive oil, is in its structure. Olive oil is a mono-unsaturated fat, which means it is as close to a saturated fat as you can get while remaining unsaturated. Why is this good? Because mono-unsaturated fats are highly stable and much less prone to be reactive. Stability in fats is VERY GOOD! It also means they don’t oxidize in your body and cause problems with free radicals. In fact, the World Health Organization lists olive oil as the best source of fat! Because of its extensive health benefits, olive oil is commonly used in cooking, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and soaps! In the 1960’s, researchers from the Seven Countries Study concluded that the monounsaturated fats in olive oil were largely responsible for the low rates of heart disease and cancer on the Greek island of Crete. Years later, a study conducted through the University of Minnesota also confirmed that olive oil contains polyphenols. The study claims that polyphenols are powerful antioxidants that may assist in preventing age related disease.

Here are just a few of the health benefits olive oil has to offer:

• Reduces the risk of heart disease• Helps to lower blood pressure• Helps reduce inflammation• Has beneficial effects for diabetes• Can help sooth gastrointestinal problems• Promotes lower cholesterol levels

Sophia Loren reportedly takes two tablespoons of olive oil daily! Ms. Loren even once shared her timeless beauty secret as being ‘the odd olive oil bath. Jeanne Calment, a French woman, who held the record for the longest confirmed lifespan, died at the age of 122. She attributed her long life remarkably youthful appearance to olive oil. She liberally poured olive oil on her food and rubbed into her skin. Next time you’re at the grocer, consider the benefits of olive oil while you’re stocking up! The best olive oil would logically be organic extra virgin olive oil. This is the highest level of purity and the least amount of refinement. Besides, when it comes to your health, it should be nothing but the best!

‘The Proof is in the Olive Oil!’

Garlic Garlic has fascinating health properties and considered indispensable as an immunity boosting, anti-aging ingredient. Throughout centuries, garlic has found a treasured place among naturopaths and traditional therapists as an excellent health remedy with both curative and preventative properties. In fact, garlic was used in Ancient Egypt, as evidenced by its discovery in King Tut’s tomb! The anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties of garlic thwart these agents from multiplying in the body and cause sickness. Moreover, since inflammation is generally the first stage of any infection, the anti-inflammatory properties of garlic work to contain the infection and prevent the spread of illness. Extensive clinical research has been conducted regarding the benefits of garlic in relation to the prevention or reduction of various forms of Cancer. Garlic has been associated with the reduced risk of; intestinal, colon, esophageal, stomach, prostate, pancreatic and breast cancer. Enough said! Garlic is best taken raw. One small clove of garlic swallowed raw early in the morning in empty stomach is an excellent way to start your day and get the maximum of health benefits of this powerhouse herb! You can also take garlic roasted or use it as a condiment during cooking! It’s no secret that garlic breath isn’t considered the most pleasing on the richter scale! While we want you to enjoy optimal health, we also want you to maintain friendships! Parsley, lemon slices and green tea are all terrific go to’s when it comes to ‘freshening up’ your breath! Of course, it’s always a good idea to have mints on hand!

Green Tea Popular in Asia for more than 5,000 years, green tea is quickly becoming the health drink around the world. Green tea was first introduced to the west by Turkish traders in the 6th century. All green tea is made from the leaves of the Camellia sinesis plant. It is considered an antigen (immune system enhancer) and adaptogen, which means it can adapt itself in many different ways to whatever your body needs, providing balance, and overall health! Green tea contains high concentrations of catechins and polyphenols, which are…. you got it, ANTIOXIDANTS! As you’ve noticed in this report, antioxidants play a very significant role in feeling and looking your greatest! Green tea is actually considered one of the most powerful antioxidants ever discovered having been known to prevent the risk of cancer, blood clots and atherosclerosis. The benefits of green tea have also been linked to the reduction of strokes, a lowered hypertension and What’s terrific, green tea is

also inexpensive, delicious and provides a mild energy boost from its caffeine. This extra push will provide the body with the power it needs to fight infection and restore the growth of cells. Consuming green tea in a liquid brewed form is thought to bring the highest benefits to the body, but there are extracts and supplement forms of green tea for those who want the benefit of the antioxidants without the work of the brewing. If you ask us, we say it’s time to ‘drink up’!

Sleep! Sleep is the time of the day when the body rebuilds, repairs and re energizes for the next day. The skin is the largest organ of the body and without the proper levels of sleep, it will also be the largest tell tale of your age. Millions of skin cells die off everyday due to environmental influences, dry skin and sun damage. Sleep is the only regenerative cycle that can truly undo the effects of the day. Without enough sleep, the skin will be unable to rebuild those dead and dying cells and this is when aging occurs. With a lack of sleep, the entire body will age significantly, due to the want of sufficient regeneration time for cells. With enough sleep, you can literally wake up fresh and new every morning!

Exercise! Lack of exercise goes hand in hand with aging. Inactivity leads to the loss of muscle tone and strength. Your posture and muscles will deteriorate over time due to lack of activity and may cause the skin to sag resulting in that aged look. Lack of exercise can also lead to back pain and health problems over time. Taking the time to care for your body through a regular exercise schedule will prevent the effects of aging from a cellular level. Exercise more, age less! The secret to anti aging and exercise is just that simple and just that easy to accomplish.

Relax Already! Research has proven that when a person is chronically stressed or when they leave no time for relaxation, the edges of the genes inside their cells start to whither and shrivel. When

this happens, deterioration of the body speeds up and life span is shortened. Furthermore, as the internal workings of the cells shrivel and die, external features of the body are affected. For instance, muscles start to weaken, skin loses elasticity and wrinkles start to show. It’s not just that either. Studies show that hearing and vision is affected, organs are compromised and brain function is lessened. Getting rid of stress in your life however, is easier said than done! If we can identify stressors in our lives and learn how to best address them, we could (truly) be saving ourselves a lot of time! Even if it is taking a deep breath and thinking positive thoughts before starting an intense project, or if it is slotting aside some “me” time first thing in the morning, make it a point to do something for yourself every day. Your health and your body will thank you for it!

Turn Back the Clock Treats! Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate contains a large number of antioxidants (nearly 8 times the number found in strawberries). These antioxidants are also referred to as flavanoids. The flavanoids in a small bar of dark chocolate eaten daily can help promote your heart health by lowering cholesterol and relax your blood pressure! Turns out chocolate is good for more than just the soul!

HoneyHoney is yet again, another powerful source of antioxidants! Honey doesn’t contain any saturated fat, and so does not increase the levels of bad cholesterol in your body. According to clinical studies, one table spoon of honey a day will be of considerable help in the fight against free radicals! Honey is also vastly used in skin care products as anti aging ingredient to reduce the lines of age. ‘Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down’… has never been a more relevant tune!
