I know that I would be a valuable member of your staff as I have prior experience managing 5 residential properties at same time, which included general maintenance and repair as well as capital projects here in Calgary. There are 5 apartment buildings, 3 of which are over 25 storeys high; a total of 800 plus units including retail operations on ground floor. For 6 years, I managed 6 apartment buildings doing the same kind of tasks in Saint John, NB For 3 years, I was employed as a Maintenance Supervisor with Saint John Shipbuilding. I was responsible for a crew of 14 trade personnel consisting of electricians, pipefitters, machinists and mechanics. I was tasked with planned and preventative maintenance on machinery, systems and buildings in a safe and efficient manner. During the Holiday Season, I also assumed responsibility as a Cleaning Supervisor and managed an additional 28 Cleaning Personnel. For 5 years, I was a Marine Engineer in the Canadian Forces. I was given numerous responsibilities which involved supervision and training. With various courses, this led to my assuming the position of Chief of the Engine Room Department. I have a 4 TH Class Engineering Certificate & have completed numerous engineering –type trade courses. I always managed and participated in Planned and Preventive Maintenance on various Industrial and Residential type equipment in a Safe and Efficient manner.
