The YPF was started in 2004 to encourage young people to pursue a career in engineering and also allows the youth to net- work and support each other. The South Gauteng branch of the YPF aims to continue this mission and also aims to give back to the com- munity by hosting events to educate school going children about the benefits of engineering on a whole and as a career.
